"N-no... I-I mean yes" she said looking a bit sheepish. "I just... I have trouble with music sir.... because of... well.. my problem" she said looking down at the violin. "So I use this instead." she held it up for him to see.

"It can never replace my voice... but it helps a bit." she said with a gulp. "You play rather beautifully by the way, sir"

Oh, because she was a siren, she wasn't able to sing around people.

"Thank you... you're welcome to play with me whenever." After he said it he realized that that sounded, well, not good. But Adonia wasn't going to understand it, he was starting torealize just how clueless she was toaward those kinds of things.

She fiddled with her hair self-consciously as she could see understanding dawn on him. If only he knew just how destructive her voice was, but no need to go into that...

"That would be nice" she said smiling. "I've never actually played a real duet with someone before" she smiled. "I had to teach myself how to play at all."

"Hmmm, you play by ear?" he asked. Wondering if she could read sheet music. "Can you read music?"

"I do both actually" she said, looking sheepish again. "I.... I used to sneak into a music store on the mainland late at night sometimes to figure out how to play.... It took a while... but I managed to figure it out eventually by looking at a lot of picture-based instruction books...." she held the violin close. "The violin was a gift..."

"That's good. Usually it's hard for someone to do both." He lapsed into music teacher mode. "What kind of music can you play? What kind of music do you like? He asled her.

"I like all music," she said with a grin. "I can play violin and harp, and began to teach myself piano and flute... I'm best with Violin though...I'm fairly good with the harp as well" she said ticking them off on her fingers. "I want to learn more if I can though."

Eos nodded. Addi was the kind of person who just loved music... music.. all of it.

"I could maybe teach you to play something... that is if you tell me what you want to learn." he said and grinned, because the last thing he taught someone to play was 'Baby got Back' to Alana on the harmonica.

"That's not somethign you can teach..." he said, but started walking back into the band room. "But I can help..." He needed to be by the piano for this. To be able to tough the keys, and hear the notes.

Cosette stared at the watery-girl curiously. "Hi... who're you?" she asked because the girl had walked into where Seti was, no the other way around.

"This is Adonia," Eos introduced her to the smaller girl.

"Addi, this is Cosette," he said as he sat at the piano.

Adonia laughed. "I meant a piece with good emotion. I know how to show it, I just.... would like to find some good pieces that can be a good outlet for me... I figure its better than nearly slicing someone in half.." she said with a nervous grin, recalling the issue that had brought about the entire mess with Jack and Eos.

"Hello Cosette" Adonia said waving shyly at the younger girl. "Pleasure to meet you."

"Why mimic someone elses feelings when you can express your own?" He asked. This was easier with singing... but he knew Addi couldn't do that. Cosette could though...

"Cosette you can do this too if you want.... Close your eyes. Now pick a feeling, any feeling. An emotion that makes you change temperature that makes you shake. Got it? Now let it fill you up. This feeling is too much for a body, it's comsuming you body and soul and you have to let it out. Now play." He told Addi. He stared at the keys of the piano picking the notes but not playing....

He couldn't play that song anymore, he didn't have anyone that made him feel that way.

Addi fidgeted uncomfortably at his question. "Because music is the easiest way for me to express emotions.... I do improvise... but I love a good piece of well-written music that can give you chills.."

Addi was surprised by his request, but followed his instructions, blushing slightly as she picked through her emotions, finally settling on one. As she let herself become consumed by the feeling, she very nearly opened her mouth to sing, but instead raised her violin once more.

The melody that issued forth from the strings was one of terrible beauty - loving, but with a twinge of sorrow and pain.

Eos smiled. She got it. He stared down at the piano, still converting the sounds into notes into keys.

Cosette watched carfully and listened, there was somethign going on between those two, that was obvious enough... but what?

((Yeeeaaaah.. i know i wouldn;t be able to do that wiht my flute or oboe...))

Adonia continued to play, no longer aware of anyone around her, the melody swirling about like the water her magic stemmed from. The song rose to an almost frenzied state and suddenly died down to a modification of the original tune, so very quiet one could barely hear it.

As she held the last note of the melody, she suddenly became aware of the other two in the room, and cut off the note rather sharply, looking at them all pink in the face.

"I-I'm sorry." she stammered. "I wasn't paying attention...."

"No, that was great," Eos couldn't help but gush. He had helped Addi do that. Music was theraputic, and if he could help her that made him feel better.

Cosette blushing. Feeling that the emotions flowing through that violin were private. "Well, I was supposed to meet Kai at the temple," she excused herself rather pathetically.

Eos heard the balant lie in Cosset's sentance and wondered what they had done to make her uncomfortable...

The girl's strait-faced lie was not lost on Adonia. She just stood there Looking rather sheepish and a bit pink, uttering a feeble "O-ok.... bye then.."

Eos turned around and started fingering the keys of the piano again... He wondered how long it would take him to come back here.... She had always been the one who tried to make him accept Apollo as his parent. To get him closer to music.

His head snapped back, and the music stopped, to stare into her purplly-blueish eyes.

"What. Are. You. Talking about?" He asked. He didn't remember telling Adonia anything... especially not about that. The only person he spilled that to was Eri, but she seemed naive enough not the think much of it. His right hand turned into a fist instinctivly.

Adonia jumped at the harshness in his voice, taking a step back, clutching her violin. "N-nothing" she back-pedaled frantically. "Nothing at all sir... I just.." She couldn't think straight with those angry green eyes pinning her in place.

He closed his eyes and turned around, an angry look still plastered onto his face. He played something fast paced and loud, it sounded a bit like Hellfire meets Beethoven. He couldn't look Adonia in the eyes, partially for fear of what he could do to her while he was angry. He had gotten better at controling his ability, but it still became volitile wiht his emotions. He stopped playing abruptly, realizing that was exactly what she meant. That because of him Eos was going to like music. FFfff, he doesn't control me, he thought frantically to himself.

"So how did you find out?" he asked, unable to get his fingers under control he proved her right, he played a small weak melody, an injured bird...

Adonia stood rooted to the spot in terror from the fierce anger in his eyes, then she was suddenly released from that horrid glare as Eos turned an began to play a thunderous bit of piano.

Her knees wobbled and she staggered back, using a nearby desk to keep from collapsing to the floor. Why did Eos's eyes always do that to her when he was angry? It was almost as if she'd lost all control of herself....

"F-find out what?" she said, trying to feign ignorance for his sake, cringing at the pathetic sad sound of his new song.

He sighed. The deception in her voice was obvious, even if he wasn't... well... who he was, he would have spotted it.

"You know what... and since you know you should have probably figured out that it's pointless lying to me. So how did you find out?" he asked again. He started playing the theme for Orpheus, the musical based on his half-brother.

Adonia gulped, setting down her violin carefully for fear of damaging it if she should feel faint again.

"I.... I heard you tell Eri... in class... T-that's why I came over to en Eri away.... I could see you didn't want to answer... but somehow... you had to.." she admitted, cringing away as if afraid of what he might do now that he knew.
