Er... hello there

[Achlys Adonia Argyris]

Adonia quietly moves along a hallway stealing looks at the many doors along the walls. She is carrying nothing but a medium-sized bag and looking mildly nervous.
"OK... now which room was it again?.." she mutters to herself as she continues to move down the hall, her eyes flitting from door to door.

"Well, well, looks like there's a pigeon lost," Severa laughed. She'd just gotten out of her room to do some practice when she'd noticed the nervous-looking Siren, or she assumed the girl was a Siren, she sure fit the bill. Severa leaned against the doorframe, watching the girl. "I take it you're new? You don't look like a first year to me."

Adonia stopped in her tracks, almost dropping her bag, at the sound of the girls voice. After reminding her heart it was supposed to be beating, she turned and gave a shaky grin to the confident-looking human. "er.. yes." She replied looking apologetic. "I'm technically, a third year. I just got here and was trying to locate my room," she continued, looking, once more, at the many doors along the hallway.

Andrasteia was just going out to spend some time in the garden when she saw two other people. The lampad was eager to meet more people, because she didn't know as many as she would like to, and so slowed down as she approached, though she kept moving in case they were too busy with something else to talk to a first year.

Ainia had just returned from practicing in the forest. She's kind of anoyed because everywhere she goes, there are boys. Why should there be so many of them? She haven't bee able to talk much because of that. So she felt relieved when she saw the group of girls in the corridor, except....

Saturnina seemed to be there, too...

Oh well, according to her, Severa was a strong warrior. And she was impressed at her attachment to her lunar necklace. So deep down, Ainia respected her greatly. She hoped that she can change this enmity to a simple 'friendly rivalry'.

Calla was wondering through the halls. Mnem had said she had a roomate, so she was waiting for her. After about an hour or so, she decided to go look for her, so that's exactly what she was doing. She stopped and looked around, spotting Andrasteia with a Siren she hadn't seen before. She wandered over curiously.

"Excuse me, but are you my new roommate?" she questioned. "I'm Calla, a Charis in third year."

Adonia turned to see multiple new faces in the hallway and a young lady with blond hair and wings addressing her. "Oh hello there! I guess I must be your roommate" the siren replied quietly with a little bow. "I'm Adonia... a third year siren, and sponsored by Hera. Its a pleasure to meet you."

Calla smiled. The girl really seemed sweet. She wasn't used to having a roommate, but she'd get over it. She looked at Andrasteia and smiled.

"Hello, how have you been?"

"Hey Calla. I've been fine, how are you?" she replied, stopping fully to talk. She smiled in a friendly way at Adonia. "Sorry for not introducing myself, I'm Andrasteia, a first year lampad."

"Adonia, third year siren of Hera," Adonia replied with a little bow to the younger girl. "Pleasure to meet you."

She looked at Adonia.

"Want to go see our room now?" she asked, smiling cheerfully.

"That would be wonderful." Adonia replied smiling nervously, and shifting the weight of her bag in her arms. "I would love to get settled."

She waved, smiling at the two. "Well, have fun settling in!" Then she continued walking down the hallway, heading towards the garden and away from everyone else.

"It was lovely meeting you." The siren said smiling.

Calla smiled up at the Siren and held out her hand.
"I can carry your bag for you if you'd like. The room isn't far, but if you've been wandering around looking for the room, you must be tired," she said, her cheerfulness showing through in her words.

"O-oh .. well ok.. thank you" she said with a crooked smile. The pretty, young Charis seemed so kind. Perhaps this place wouldn't be so bad after all.

Calla gingerly took the Siren's bag, careful not to drop it or anything.
"Well, let's get going, shall we?" she asked, a cheerful smile still plastered onto her face. Her mismatched eyes met those of her roommate before they both started down the hallway.

Adonia had to suppress her surprise at Calla's mismatched eyes. They were beautiful, but the difference in color was a bit astonishing at first.

She followed Calla stretching her shoulders, happy to be rid of the sack's weight for a moment. "Thank you..." she said as they walked along. "So... how do you like it here?"

Calla noticed Adonia's surprise at her eyes, but she just smiled. It didn't really bother her. She thought for a moment and how to reply.
"I actually really like it here. I've made friends with people, and they're like a family to me now. Sure, sometime we have to fight those in our year, but...we can't really help that when we have so much to lose," she said thoughtfully.

Adonia cocked her head and thought that over. "What's family?" she asked curiously. Having lived alone her whole life, she was unfamiliar with such things. Though she had picked up speech and bits and pieces of social graces while watching humans from a distance, the concept of family eluded her.

Calla blinked and looked over at her. She then smiled and hugged the Siren's arm. "I'm guessing you're not good with the social interacting?" she asked. "Family isn't something you can really explain. I mean...well, I'll just try and show you over time, okay?"

Adonia was momentarily surprised when Calla hugged her arm, but found that the Charis' simple, friendly act helped settle her nerves and smiled.
"Yes, it has been a while" she said with a crooked grin. "...or never" she thought to herself.

"Is this" she said gesturing to Calla holding her arm, something "something families do?"

Calla thought for a moment before smiling. "Yeah, it can be one thing," she answered. She then stopped and straightened herself as she looked up at a door. "Here we are."
She pushed the door open and held it for Adonia, somehow still smiling brightly.

Adonia quietly glided into the room looking around curiously. "This must be my side" she said with a grin gesturing to the bare walls and empty desk and shelves.

She looked at Adonia's side with a smile. "You've done a lovely job on your side" she said quietly, still smiling nervously. "Your quilt is beautiful."

Calla smiled and set the Siren's belongings on her bed. "Thanks! I just try to keep things reminding me of home," she said, sitting on her own bed and running her hand over the quilt.
