Jack had wandered into the library, he was still getting his bearings of the place and it looked like he still wasn't any closer to knowing the school...it was so big. It depressed Jack a little, not knowing what was going on and...being in a library of course. Looking up at the shelves and its dozens of little scrolls and sometimes the odd book he felt very small and sighed. Fiddling with the beads on his hair he reached forward and plucked the nearest piece of parchment out of its holder, before looking at it strangely. There was obviously words on it and when he unravelled it there were words there as well..and sentences and punctuation...but it all seemed to blend together and he didn't know what any of the words meant. Frowning and not taking his eyes off the scroll, he moved toward a nearby table, knocking into things with a curse along the way. Jack sat and laid the paper in front of him, studying it like he knew what it meant. He would have wrote them down so he could memorize them and learn them but he couldn't do that either. He couldn't write. Well being fair his trade hadn't exactly call for the abilities of being litterate. Pouting he laid his head on his hands and stared at the ink pots across from him, wondering what the scroll actually read. Looks like he'd have to be content with imagining for now, he wasn't actually sure if the Athenaeum did reading classes...I bet everyone here can read and write and think their all clever he thought before speaking his answer aloud. "Well let them think that, I bet none of em have ever escaped a tribe of bloodthirsty cannibals with nothing but a bandana and a pineapple..."

"Pineapple?" The second year Nephelae stood a few feet away from the senior. Kammy loved to spy on her seniors, but this one really scared her she kept her distance. She tilted her head but didn't move forward. The Nephelae was curios what he was talking about.



She noticed that e wasn't writing, he was just stared at the scroll.
'Maybe he is stressed that the year will end soon...'

"Is it boring?" Yes maybe that was it, the scroll he was reading was boring. Seniors had much harder work that first or second years. "A scroll about cannibals and pineapples doesn't sound boring." Kammy thought that was what the scroll he had out was about.He spoke very differently than Cedirc or Aimme and his clothes was different too. Maye from a different time like them?

Adonia had been in the library for hours now, attempting to study. Thanks to Raivynne and Augustin's patience and teaching, she had finally learned the basics of reading. She still struggled with larger words and complicated sentences/topics, but at least she could slog through most of it and ask a friends for help if needed.
She was so engrossed in her attempts that she was rather startled to hear someone curse under their breath. Peering up she saw a young man. She had never met him before, but from his appearance and demeanor, she would guess he was human. She watched as he slumped into a chair and buried his face in his hands, obviously frustrated.
She wondered if she should just keep her distance, judging by how her last encounter with someone upset had gone, but finally she mustered her courage and whispered across the room "Um... hello there. A-are you all right?"

Augustin looked up from his book. It was good, he finally found a moment to read, thought it relaxed him. But after few houres he heard steppes, and quiet sounds. He stood up, and looked around.

"Is anybody here?" he whispered. He tried not to make much sound, because he was afraid that the librarian will hear him, and then he can go away quite fast.

After he left two bookshelf, he saw an unfamiliar sillouette near two familiar. One of them looked like just Miss Kamoa, and the other was Adonia. "Hello..." he said slowly "I belive we didn't met before. Hello Adonia, and um.. Miss Kamoa"

Breaking his stare at the obviously mysterious scroll he turned he head sideways and took a look at the people who's the two voices belonged to. "Huh..." was all he said at first great, make them think your dumber than you actually are Jack raised his eyebrows slowly and looked tired and skeptical at the same time, putting a half-hearted smile on his face. "Naw naw I'm not too doing alright lassies....I'm just...er....figuring out these squiggles right here" he pulled the top half of the scroll up and pointed to some sentences. "Pineapples and bandana's...I didn't read that ...I lived it" He puffed his chest slightly before, sensing the chance to tell a good story. "Anyways I'm being rude ain't I aye...I'm Jack....and you too beauties who have graced me with yer presence are...?"
Noticing the boy who had walked in his head met the desk. "Aye up there young un' awfully crowded in this library tonight"

"Oh hello Augustin!" the siren said in a cheerful whisper, standing to greet her friend. She was glad to see familiar face.
Beauties?... well the other young lady (who she had not had the pleasure of meeting yet) yes, but her own sallow skin could hardly qualify her as a "beauty" Adonia thought to herself, blushing a bit nonetheless.
"Oh... yes, of course! I am Adonia; a third year siren of Hera," she said turning to give a small bow. "Squiggles? Oh! You mean the letters? Ugh... I know what you mean. I'm terrible at reading. I couldn't read at all when I first came here, but thanks to my friends" she gave Augustin a smile "I'm improving."

Kammy glared at the Pegasus.
'Kamoa?...KAMOA!'

However her attention was drawn back at the senior 'Jack'. His manner if speech was very different.
"I'm Kammy." She looked back at the Pegasus when she said her name then smiled back at Jack. "Second year and Nephelae of Hermes, nice to meet you." He was probably the first senior she had ever talked to.

"Lived it, like that happened to you?" This got her attention even more. She walked closer to his tablet and sat down a seat away from him looking at his scroll. She was good at reading, her mother didn't raise not fool, or was it because she inherited the brain smart from Kamoa's brother?

Augustin smiled back at Adonia. He still didn't know who was that other guy, who talked about squiggles. After what he got about the conversation he meant the letters. He remembered to that afternoon when they taught Adonia to read with Raivynne.

He finally understood something. He fastly had a look to his book, what he still hold in his hand.

"Oh, sorry Kammy. I really didn't know. Please forgive me." he answered to the girl "I'm Augustin, warrior of Apollo"

"And you...?" he looked to the unknown man.

Kamoa? As in Lady Kamoa?... But how could that be?.... though she had to admit the young lady did bear quite a resemblance to Lady Kamoa. Oh... her name was Kammy.... Adonia made a mental not to NEVER call the young lady Kamoa.

"Nice to meet yer all" his tone would have been cheerful if it was impeded by how tired he was. "I'm Jack Kidd, pirate of Poseidon and Amphitrite" Jack didn't like the term 'warrior' it was something he wasn't so he wasn't gonna go around saying he was one. "Yeh I'v been around a lot...sailed the weird and haunted shores at worlds end, made dangerous deals with all sorts of entities and deities and plundered...maybe burned down a couple of towns...meh its all parta life aye?" Jack shrugged before laying down on the bench, head propped up on his elbows, leather boots making a dull sound as they hit against the wood.

Adonia's ears perked up at this new information. "Pirate....You're a sailor?" she asked, taking in his appearance. She had seen sea-faring men of all kinds during her life-time but none quite like this. She had always envied them for their lives of adventure and freedom to go where they pleased.
As he lay down on the bench, boots thunking loudly as he did so, she couldn't help but grin. He certainly had the demeanor of a sea-faring man though.

Augustin looked the guy while he talked. Burning down towns? Yes, of course, he was a pirate, but destroying homes?

"You destroyed peoples home..." he said slowly. "Forgive me, I know, you're a pirate, but it's a little unimaginable." he tried to explain himself.

"In which year are you?"

"Hmm illegal sailor to put it politly Adonia" he smiled to himself before sitting back up lazily, with a drowsy look on his face and scooting closer to the new people. His smile was crooked, but unlike most pirates he still had all his natural teeth and none of them appeared to be turning yellow. In fact they looked quite normal, apart from the tiny serated edge to each. "Its a dog eat dog world young' un the cruellest survive....but saying that it was rather fun at the time...forgive me if I offend you...actually...I don't care if you forgive me or not." He scratched the back of his neck and head, ruffling his hair and making the trinkets and beads jingle about, he didn't seem to fussed, the more people he knew the more chance there was of betrayal, he didn't say the words to Augustin nastily he just said them plain and simple like usual. "Oh and I'm in last year"

"You too? I didn't know that you're in the last year too." he nodded. Then there's a new student in the last year, sponsored by Poseidon, God of Seas. He didn't know why he didn't heard about him since then.

As he saw, he wasn't so liked here, so he leaned to the nearest bookself, and opened his book again.

"Illegal?" the siren asked, puzzled. "What exactly do you mean by illegal?" Having lived on an island all alone her entire life, she had yet to grasp some of the finer points of society... perhaps this was one of those points...

"Hmph don't think I don't like ya boy, yer fine by me" Jack looked at Augustin, god his name was a mouthful...he wasn't trying to be rude. "What are ya anyways..." he raised one eyebrow at the reading pegasus, only slighty wondering what the book was about. "Hmm illegal...opposite of legal" he chuckled, maintaining his smile "I was on the most wanted Dead or Alive list before I got dragged her by the bastard Poseidon...ah...sorry bout me French...urgh" Jack keeled over slightly, holding onto his stomach with one arm and holding onto his amulet with the other hand. "I think I'm getting something..!" sneezing into his tunic, making himself slide off the bench onto the floor, he looked back up at the siren and Augustin. "Tissues...hankies...anything" he asked around.

Aimee who was passing by threw a hankie to the pirate talking guy's face. "Sheeeesh can't you all keep it down a bit?" She frowned a the group of student. "You can all be heard from the entrance."

Adonia made a mental note to find a dictionary to look up legal and illegal.
She jumped a bit in surprise as the young man clutched his stomach, sneezed, and fell to the floor. She was about to rush back to her bag and grab a handkerchief for him, when one came from behind her and smacked him in the face.
At Aimee's comment, she said "Oh dear! Were we being too loud?" She began looking around nervously for the librarian.

Augustin looked up from his book. He didn't really paid attention to the others, when he read, he totally forgot about anything else, so he couldn't even hear what happened.

"Oh, Aimée, hello." he said when he saw the girl.

He saw the pirate having a problem. "Sorry, here's this it might help", he gave him a piece of tissue from his pocket.

Zephyra made her way into the library. She glanced down at the several books in her, they were Raivynne's but the Lampad had asked Zephyra to return them for her. Zeph couldn't refuse lately the two of them had been getting along quite well. As she brought the books over to their respective shelves.

As she rounded the corner for the next shelf, she noticed a group of warriors talking. Zephyra recognized a few of them, so being herself, she made her way over to them. "Hi, guys!" Zephyra smiled.

Aimee annoyed how they spoke so loud glared over at the girl who came in.
"Could you have yelled any louder in here?"

She was gripping her book angry, something else besides the noise seemed to annoy her today. "What ever....I don't care if you get in trouble for talking loud."

"Hello there" Adonia whispered "I don't beleive we've met. I'm Adonia."
She noticed Aimee's grip tighten on the book she was holding. "Um are you all right miss Aimee?" she asked quietly still nervously eying the book cases looking for any sign of the librarian.

Zephyra rolled her eyes at the girl who had asked if she could talk any louder. Then glancing to the girl, Adonia, who had addressed her. "No I don't think we have met. Hello, I'm Zephyra, nice to meet you." Zeph beamed at the timid girl.

Aimee wanted to strangle the Nephelae but kept her temper and looked a back at the Siren. "Just a bit tired..." Removing her glasses she walks towards the shelfs looking for a scroll.
