Unwanted Visitor [Private]
Who: Severa and Leonidus
Where: Severa and Tahi's room.
When: A little over two hours past nightfall, when the Warriors are supposed to be asleep.
---
Severa was not asleep yet. She ought to be, but she wasn't. Tahirah, her roommate, wasn't there at the moment. Probably sleeping in her brother's room to avoid her, or perhaps on one of her journeys with her brother. Either way, it suited Severa just as well, and probably Tahi too. She was laying in bed, a single candle illuminating the room, and reading up on some fire-magic theory, but her eyes were drooping and her brain was barely taking anything in anymore.
Sighing she closed the book with a 'thud' and slid it underneath her bead. She changed into her nightshift, a simple and thin white garment, and tied her hair at the end to keep it from getting too tangled in the morning. It was sure to be a busy day in the morning, and she ought to get some more sleep so she could train.
She moved to blow out the candle when she froze, did she just hear something in the hall. She listened intently, not moving a muscle, but she heard no more and, deciding it must be al right, blew out the candle and got into bed.

Re: Unwanted Visitor [Private]
Leonidus sighed, having to walk through the female's dorm to get to the males dorm. He blinked seeing the soft glow of a candle from under a door frame he paused outside and blinked, wasnt that...Severa's room?
a grin consumed his face, no harm in playing the nightly visitor and dropping in on his warrior. He chuckled deeply, pushing the door open, you know..one would figure an uptight person like Sev would lock her door. Perhaps she was waiting for the blonde Nephalae to return...wasn't she on a mission with that pathetic excuse of a wind teacher that she calls her brother?
Leo sighed, whatever. Walking into the room he smirked. "Going to sleep so soon Severa?" His deep masculine voice broke the silence.

Severa tensed like a deer when the door opened, and an unfortunately familiar voice resounded through. She breathed in, and out, trying to relax herself.
There was nothing he could do, they were in the dorms, one shout would wake just about anyone, she was perfectly safe. She was never this skittish around people, so she ought to get herself together!
"Yes, Leonidus, that was the plan. In case you haven't noticed, you're in my room, not yours, so I'd like to kind request for you to leave."

Leo smirked, damn he loved the way her voice was always on egde. She was always on the defensive around him, in a way it upset him. simply because perhaps he wants her to trust him, to not hate him...well Moooooo that was impossible now with that horrible rocky start. Blame his arrogance for it.
Leo sighed and moved to take a turn about the room smirking as he saw the clear diffrences between her side and Tahi's side. "You know Sev, your side is so very Masculine, Tahi's is feminine." He blinked and sat down in a chair and looked at Sev all cuddled in bed. What he wouldn't give to share the warmth she provides.
"Your from Rome correct?" He paused already knowing that anwser. "What was it like?"

"I am not certain if I ought to take that as an insult or not. My side contains purely what I require and no more," Severa said with a steely tone, drawing her sheet around herself, feeling so very underdressed in her nightgown.
"Rome, yes," she was slightly taken aback by the sudden inquiry, she hadn't been expecting that. "It was... fun, mostly."
"I was very different back then, so my account is not that reliable, but I remember lots of parties, and wine, and flirting. Everything was always a game. And I remember watching the games, not ever daring to think I'd be in them one day," Severa laughed softly, something she often did as a defense mechanism.
"But why the sudden interest Spartan?"

Leo chuckled as she inquired if she should take his statment as an offense. "Don't be offended. I find that in my side of my room i have many relic's that remind me of my home back in sparta..." He stated, simply wondering why Sev had none from Rome.
He blinked as she laughed, the melody of her voice is music to his ears, he couldnt help but smile. "That is the first time i've heard you laugh." He said and then focused on her words about her home. "You never partook in the games?" She is beautiful he couldnt understand why she would not be involved in games.
Leo smirked at her question. "I simply would like to know more about you...their are clear diffrences between Rome and Sparta...i would like to build the bridge to understand more...about your home...about you." He stated their eyes meeting.

"Well I can't very well make a trip back home to retrieve some 'relics', now can I? Being stuck in haven, all I have is my clothing and my gladius, and both were made here to resemble that of home." Severa said impatiently.
At the question if she participated in the games, Severa had to laugh once more, a sarcastic form this time. "I was a patrician's daughter! I, partake in the games? Women weren't allowed in the games unless they were executed, and even so a patrician's daughter never would, I was far more interested in parties and men, both admired gladiators as well as possible husbands."
She was such an airheaded girl, a girl worrying about nothing more than her upcoming marriage, or if someone would catch her exchanging kisses with a gladiator at a party. Nothing serious, nothing like fighting.
"There should be clear differences between Rome and Sparta. Rome is conquered the world, Sparta never did. In fact, Sparta is a popular vacation spot nowadays, I think we almost went there once, before deciding we'd visit Sicily instead," she said it hoping it would throw Leonidus off, knowing that the kingdom he is so proud of was defeated and conquered by the Romans, as was the rest of the world.
"As for bridges, I don't do well with bridges," she stared him straight in the eye, challenging him.

Re: Unwanted Visitor [Private]
Leo raised a brow, watching severa, and nodding in understnding." well at least your clothes are modeled After roman clothing...though to me they look no diffrent then what a Greek woman would wear." how the Moooooo was he to know womans fashion trends, he is a man...men don't keep up with that stuff.
As she spoke of the games he chuckled softly, her worried about finding a husband? Pleasing her father. Well damn what the Moooooo happened. " so back then were you always as big a Bahahahahahaaa as you can be now?" Bahahahahahaaa was putting it well a bit lightly, tough a sweet septima would be very hard to picture.
As she insulted Rome he couldn't help but growl, but then smirk. "yes and in Rome conquring the world it conquered itself did it not septima? Correct me If I'm wrong but all that territory was so hard to keep watch over, rebellions broke out, then of coarse their is the inevitable corruption in your oh so perfect senate." he smirked. " and how could I ever forget the moving of the capital which caused your fair sweet Rome to collapse onto poverty, your fair city ANC your people nothing but outcasts of the new roman empire...what wasit called again? Ah yes, the Byzantine empire. No one wants to be in tome, it's a city for corruption, without an absolute leader to at least attempt to rule it fell down upon itself, your fair Rome nothing but a city of ruin as well as your fair empire, it is no more." well that was the end of his rant, at least Sparta could say they have the most famous army in the world, Rome may have have great generals, but the tale of the 300 at tge thermopili pass is still talked about, making Sparta as much of a legend as Rome, only Sparta was conquered by another, Rome made the foolish and idiotic mistake of moving the capital, the corrutpion within the government is what killed their fair country.
Leo smirked ignoring Severas bridges comment and her challenge. "has anyone ever told you that you could easily be mistaken for a Spartan woman? Our woman are strong much like yourself, unlike thecweak roman woman." he laughed, challenging her right back.

Re: Unwanted Visitor [Private]
"Of course I wasn't like I am now. Were you always a self-absorbed asshole with an ego as big as mount Olympus? Or are you Spartans just born that way?" Severa countered lazily. "Yes I once once a frivolous girl, worried only about my suitors. And my, those gladiators were very fine also, you had only hope they wouldn't die the next day," she laughed. "That was always quite sad, a gladiator you've exchanged kissed with dying the next day, you'd have to go through all the trouble of finding another."
She shifted on the bed, making sure the blankets covered her well enough. If only she could get it in the annoying Spartan's head that she was not his, and never would be. Besides, the tournament was in a matter of days, it would be decided soon if she'd even remember him.
"Oh, do not mistake my words, I do not hold only praise for Rome. Rome has its faults, faults I could not see while I was there. As a Roman woman, I was little more than my father, or when time came for marriage, my husband. I was what the man in my life was, and no more. As for this so-called Byzantine empire, I know nothing of it. I do not concern myself with knowledge that would be lost to me if I not win the tournament. Therefore I only concern myself with winning, so that later on I may concern myself with trivialities such as knowledge."
"Roman women are weak, yes, but we know how to manage a household, do your women? I have also never heard of a Spartan woman fighting beside the men. What use is strength if it is hardly used?"
