The Lake - Setting

The Lake stretches out all the way to the mountains that are just visible from the Athenaeum. Only the Lake's tip touches the Athenaeum Grounds. Most of the places where the Lake touches the land is covered by reeds or simply a place where grass abruptly changes into water. There is just one small beach that is half on the grounds, and plenty of other beaches farther out that are only reachable by water.

The life in the Lake is mainly smaller and harmless fish, though you'll never know what kind of beast you'll encounter in Haven. The fish are mostly slightly mutated species of Earthling fish, and other fresh water creatures. It is also a place for water Nymphs to live, and more specifically Lamodea the lake's Naiad.
