Bang, clank, clash, sizzle
Bang, clank, clash, sizzle, the sound of steel on steel or iron on iron. The kids were in need of new practice weapons for the time being and it was Jack the odd-job man who was saddled with making them. He knew had to shape and balance metals but he was no expert, he had a few weeks with a blacksmith (when he wasn't sleeping or drinking) when they docked for a break from the sea's but he got bored after he learned what he thought was sufficent and set out to sail again. He had been named right for his life.
Jack of all trades, master of none (except piracy that is)
The forge was scorching and the thin coating of sweat on his skin, glistened and appeared as a sheen. Bang, the hammer against the weapon. Clank, making it smooth. Clash, creating balance. Sizzle, dunking it in the water barrel next to him, cooling it and setting the steel. He couldn't face the fiery heat with his new guard armour and resorted to wearing his usual attire, even though the shirt was tied around his waist, but still the heat was intense. The pirate had even eyed up the water bucket a couple of times, considering emptying out the dangerous weapons and tipping the water over himself. He'd even thought about skipping work and taking a trip down to the lake. The perpetual summer didn't help with his perdicament. Bang, clank, clash, sizzle. "Feckin hell!" he yelled at the damaged glaive head. He could make them but he wasn't a master, he threw the useless metal to a corner and started on another weapon. Bang, clank, clash, sizzle. "I'm a guard, not a smithy!" he grumbled through powerful hammer strokes, showing the metal and forming weapons no mercy.

Re: Bang, clank, clash, sizzle
Galene brought her whip to the forge to get some arrangements. The small balls at the end of the whip were starting to become soft and some more metal over them was needed. Not to mention some cleaning on her round shield. The 4th year training was harder and Galene was determinated not to lose.
As she entered the forge, a familiar voice came to her pointy ears and she just sighed. That voice could only belong to one single person and her eyes rolled as she approached one of the forges. "Hello Jack." she said, starting to work on her whip.

"Hey there lass" Jack muttered distractedly as his made sure not to burn his hands anymore than he already had. Dunking the blade into the water barrel with a feral hiss, his wiped the dust off on his shirt and craned his neck so he could wipe his face on the loose material. "Now what yer doing 'ere this fine summers evenin'?" Placing another piece of metal in the forge and turning it, watching sparks fly around and lick at the unmade weapon, he smiled and looked at the whip Galene was working on. "I'd offer help but I didvn't nah a single thing about them whips of yers" Bringing the red blade metal out of the fires, he rested it on the anvil and begun hitting at the metal, sweat returning and sparks flying from the burning hot iron. "'Owever you sounded displeased to see us, were yer hoping i'd left" he said it playfully as usual, but grimanced when he caught his skin on the hot edge of the metal "Ah yah bugger yah!" he hissed as he forcefully shoved the now made, balanced blade into the water, shooting it a reproachful look.

Galene put some work gloves so she wouldn't burnt and removed her blindfold. "Excuse me, don't look at my eyes now please. I need to see on what I'm going to work." she said, putting the blindfold near the work table and glancing her yellow eyes at the piece in front of her.
"You are new to forge job?" she asked, grabbing a pair of big twizzers so she could grab the whip with no troubles, letting the melted metal get over the metal balls. "I'm not displeased, I just didn't expect to see you here... they let you stay?"

"I widnae say I was new..." Jack grumbled, looking with exhasperation at the pile of metal he still had to craft. Deciding to put it off he leant againt the anvil, making sure to look away from the gorgons eyes. "Aye they let me stay" He chirped happily, wiping his bare torso down, his hands now glistening in the firelight. "Cos I was too valuable to let go, yes" laughing in his throat he turned his head to look at Galene's weapon. "Thats a mighty weird weapon yer got thar...never seen one like that before. Cat' o' nine tails sure...but ahh~" he motioned fluently with his hand at the deadly whip "-not one ah them"

"Too special? Nah, you are just to dangerous to let go." she said with a small smirk as she started to work on the melted metal, making it shape like spikes, instead of small regular balls. "So, you work here or just do all sorts of jobs?" she asked, curiously.
Galene perked at Jack's statement about her whip. "Given by my mother, improved by me. Easy to use and can leave some nasty scars." she said, proud of her own weapon. "Also, it can make some scars over whoever uses it." she said, remembering the three scars she had on her back. Although they weren't made by herself.

"Jack of all trades lil' miss" He sighed, scratching his stubble and looking over Galene's work, smirking at her comment. He may act harmless, but he actually a very dangerous man...but going around being as hostile, deadly an cruel as possible didn't really get you anywhere in a school...on the high sea's maybe but not in a school.
Sensing her pride, Jack decided to be pleasant....half because he was feeling nice and half because he didn't want a taste of them metal spikeballs on the end of that whip. "Well yer did a good job on it I'll admit, Gally can mek a good weapon"

Galene finished her weapon and placed on cold water, giving it the final detail. Soon, she placed the whip aside and grabbed a piece of cloth to clean her round and golden shield.
Seeing that silence had reigned, Galene decided to pop a question "Say, Jack... I heard that you and Miss Adonia have been quite... close to each other." she said this with a smirk on her face, wondering how would the pirate react.

Jack smirked, you could almost say...evilly, but maybe it was just a trick of the light, it was probably just wicked or devious. Running a hand along the hammers and tools hung on the walls, he turned and sat himself up on the anvil playing with a brand in his hand, sticking it in the flames of the forge and watching the flames hiss and spit. "Weeelll depends on what you say by close?" Bringing the brand out of the fire he saw the end glowing red and orange and he moved it around in front on him in small neat circles. "Is dócha go bhfuil muid lovers~" Words slicked with sweetness, he cocked an eyebrow at the gorgon. "Why'jah ask?"

Hearing the unknown words on her ears, Galene shook her head and blinked her eyes several times. She did only understand the word 'lovers' so she supposed they were dating.
With a small smirk, she turned to her head to him with eyes closed, with the snakes smelling the hair as she vigously cleaned the shield. "Well, I don't usually say this but I'm happy for you. After the story of your life that you told me and Miss Anastasia, I guess you are worth Adonia's love. But be careful, I've seen that she is naive and insecure..." she said, turning her head again to the shield.
