Nix had left early morning since their return leaving Jericho to wake up alone. Not able to find his twin, Jericho quickly dressed and made his way out the door. Stopping at the mess hall to gather this and that avoiding the eyes that looked his way due to the bad scaring he had received by his own father. The man had lied before everyone's face claiming there had been a battle back on home village reason the boys were so badly battered. As to why he was unharmed? Simple he was just a better warrior he claimed. Jericho rolled his eyes remembering that as he ran out of the mess hall and out into the open area taking to the sky and flying off. He needed to ditch these questioning eyes and fast. Without Nix at his side, it was a lot more difficult for him to cope.

He made his way into the forest, finding himself a nice tree to sit upon and have himself a little something to eat. He unwrapped the handkerchief where he had piled some cheese, bread and fruit quickly back at the mess hall. He sighed moving to lean on the tree and began to eat.

Zephyra had woken up before Raivynne had as per usual. So she quickly got dressed and tip toed out of the room to keep the lampad from waking up. As she headed out of the main building, she stopped momentarily to look around. Zephyra started to head out to the garden but she usually spent her time there, she then headed over to the forest. As she walked Zephyra looked to her feet and nervously played with the lightening bolt necklace; then necklace she hated but was forced to wear by Zeus. Shaking her head and glad to be back; she absolutely hated leaving for the summer to be with her mother.

When she looked up she noticed Jericho leaning on the tree. Zeph looked at him still not used to all those scars on his body from some "battle" that occurred at their village. "Hello Jericho," Zephyra said with a smile and her feet had a mind of their own as she walked on over to him.

Jericho munched on an apple before perking to the voice that flooded his ears like a musical melody. He looked down looking to see Zeph. He paused remembering the way she looked at him the day he returned, as if in almost disgust with him. He frowned some before sitting up "Hello Zephi" He spoke up as she came over. "What brings you here?"

Zephyra looked him for a brief moment his face had this expression she couldn't quite recognize. She shook it off as nothing. "Well I woke up before Raivynne and the girl loves her sleep; so I left the room like I usually do if she's sleeping. I usually spend most of time in the garden, so today I thought why not switch it up." Zeph pretty much rambled on. "And what about yourself?"

"I see....Nix was gone when I woke. I went looking and couldn't find him so I went to the mess hall and then came here to eat." He glanced at her down below holding up an apple "Would you like one?" He asked "They are fresh and real sweet"

Zephyra listened and nodded in a little bit of a daze. When he offered her the apple, her stomach growled. She turned beet red from embarrassment, in the end she did say, "Please." Zeph gently took the offered apple and sat down on the ground. She ate the apple as quietly as anyone had ever eaten an apple.

Jerry perked and smiled to her stomach rumbling jumping down from the branch as he handed her the apple. "Here" He chuckled moving to sit beside her with a smile offering her more from his little pack. "I have more" He smiled offering it to her...pausing to see his own scared arm pulling away.

"I look ugly to you dont i?" He frowned.

Zephyra smiled at the offered apples, she was about to say thank you. But Jericho had asked her if he looked ugly to her. Her eyes softened and she studied him with all of his scars. Stepping closer to him, she gently took his hand in hers. With her other hand, she traced the scars on his arms, then on his torso. "How could you even accuse me of something like that? You think I'm that shallow, to let scars or looks, change the way I feel about you?" Zephyra said her eyebrows furrowed together and her nose scrunched up like it did whenever she was angry or frustrated. "Because it doesn't, not at all." She stood on her tippie toes and pressed her lips to the scar on his chest. Zeph looked up at him, "I love you and nothing will change that. Ever." She emphasized the ever part.

Jerry perked hearing how Zephi felt, making him smile all the more before moving to set the food aside and warp his arms around her tightly. "Thank you Zeph...I needed to hear that."He smiled moving to snuggle.

"I was afraid if be ugly to you and you'd never want me around you because...Well look at me" he frowned looking away and looking himself over. "I look like I had a fight with a hundred warriors" He frowned

Zeph wrapped her arms around Jericho, she looked up at him. "You could never be ugly to me." She watched him and his expressions carefully. "Jericho?" Zephyra asked quietly, "What really happened? Was it really a battle or...was it something else?" She paused for a moment. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

Jericho perked and then frowned looking to her then down "It was a battle...but not one against many." He sighed moving to snuggle her letting her have his lap. He grew rather silent before looking away. "Remember that man who came with us to explain what ha happened?....That man was our father...He..." He swallowed hard. "He was the one he did this"

Zephyra stared blankly at Jericho after he told her. With a shaky hand she reached out and touched the scar on his chest again; she also looked his body over once more. "Fa-father? Did this to you?" She looked at him with what she tried wasn't a look of pity, but probably failed. Zeph wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. She didn't know what to say other than silly meaningless words like 'I'm sorry' but those words didn't cut it. Nothing she could say would it felt like in her mind.

Jerry frowned and nodded slowly as she asked him once more if it was his father. Whens he hugged him, his arms wrapped around her tiny torso and hugged her close. "Please dont tell anyone...I dont want to me looked upon in pity" He frowned.

Zephyra nodded and hugged him tighter. "Of course you can trust me with anything, Jericho. You know that right?" She asked quietly. Slowly she pulled away and looked into his eyes. "They can't be healed can they?" Zephyra asked; she probably knew the answer but it was worth a shot if she could be of any help to him.

"They were drenched in salt water" He frowned looking to her then down to the scars on his chest. "He made sure I always had a remembrance of why we ere punished" He sighed before moving to offer her something to eat "Here...you should eat"

Zephyra wanted to ask why they were being "punished" in the first place. But he offered her something to eat and that to her seemed like he was trying to change the subject. She quietly took another apple but didn't eat; she didn't feel like eating now. Looking at Jericho she asked, "Why? Why are you being 'punished'?" Zeph asked feeling even tinier and useless.

Jerry kept his eyes upon Zephi, seeing her take the apple but frowned when she didnt eat. He frowned more so to her question, his eyes locking on her before moving to grab and turn her to face him. "I'm being punished...because I'm in love with you. A woman of worth and my father doesnt approve."

Zephyra's eyes widened, she didn't know what to do....without thinking she scrambled off his lap to sit a least 2 yards away from him. She felt like crying; Jericho was being beaten and having all sorts of other things happen to him because of their feelings for each other. "So it's partially my fault?" Zeph l asked being completely naive in not knowing the whole story.

Jericho blinked as her eyes widden and she scambled to get away from him, a frown ever present on his face. "Zephie.." he frowned moving to crawl over to her moving to grab and pull her close, not daring to let her go.

"This isn't your fault. Not now...Not ever." He assured her moving to cuddle. "I love you...and nothing will ever stop me from loving you. I'd take a thousand lashes just to be with you"

Zephyra hugged him tight. She felt a little assured but still she felt like this was her fault. Zeph pulled away from him when said 'I'd take a thousand lashes to be with you'. She looked into his purple eyes, tears welling up in her own. "I'm not worth a beating or lashes, ever."

"You're worth ever single lick" He cupped her chin before moving to press into a kiss showing her just how much he loved her just with that one single kiss. He broke it after a while, putting his forehead to hers. "I love you Zephyra...So very very much"

Zephyra blushed, she had never been kissed like that before one with so much emotion. He really did love her that much really believed she was worth getting lashed. "And I love you Jericho." Zephyra could put into words how much she loved him, so she pulled him into another kiss (totally copying what he did) to show how much she truly loved him.

Jericho perked and smiled moving to press into that kiss, loving her more and more. When they finally parted he took a breath an smiled "Wow...Love me that much?" He asked before smirking and moving to lay her down on the ground cuddling her. "IM glad to be back in your arms"

Zephyra turned a little pink. "Don't sound so surprised." She wrapped her arms around him pulling him close to her, very quietly she whispered, "I missed you so very much." Zeph pressed her lips to his once more but only for moment simply being content with cuddling.

Jericho smiled, moving to snuggle with Zeph just there on the cool forest ground. He didnt care who came by or what could happen, the moment was now and he was with the woman he loved. "What did you do while I was away?"
