Adonia gulped rather loudly. "I-I'm halfway done sir..." she said nervously, her hands twitching away from his shoulders as he became still again. "J-just h-hold on for a bit longer and we'll get you all sorted out..." she continued going along his arm pulling out the rest of the loose threads with no problems.

Finally, she set the tweezers down with a sigh washing the blood from her hands wearily, and grabbing another small bottle from the table. With a gulp, she gestured to it. "Er.. I hate to tell you this... but this stuff is not gonna feel good... but its necessary... unless you want to risk infection.." she waited for his response warily.

Iva was informed by one of the nymphs of a Siren carrying the new mentor into the Infirmary. She hurried her way from her personal herb gardens to the infirmary. Quickly the Amazon flung the door open to see a nervous Adonia and the newest mentor whose name always escaped her memory. "What on earth is going on? What happened to him?" Iva asked frantically, for the first time since she came to the Athenaeum she felt useless.

"Adonia beat me up," Eos said simply, then put the dowel back in his mouth before Adonia could surprise attack his arm.

Adonia's head shot up and he breathe a huge sigh of relief, her mouth dropping open in shock at her teacher's words. "I-I most certainly did not!!!" she said smacking his chest. Normally, she would never have dared to do so, but being on her last nerve, she was loathe to hold in her temper.

"H-he's been burned, Iva. Can you please help me?" she gasped. "I've cleaned the wound and managed to get all the bits and threads from his shirt out... I was about to sanitize it so he won't get an infection.... can you help me?" she said, nervously hoping she had gotten everything right.

As she was asked by Adonia for help, Iva ran over to her herb table, she found california poppy mixture and brought it over with a teaspoon. "Adonia, this is a tranquilizer. This will knock him out for an hour or so. If you expect to finish treating a painful wound like that you need him out cold."

"I tried to give him something for pain before" she said sheepishly. "B-but he wouldn't take it" she said with a slight glare at him.

"Well pardon me for not being a medical expert yet," she snarled taking the bottle Iva offered and pouring a spoonful for him. "You going to take this? Or would you rather suffer through the rest like a man?" she said sarcastically, holding the spoon up.

He took the poppy concoction and held it in one cheek so he could quickly stick his tongue out at Adonia before smallowing it. He didn't like that taste, this wasn't the first time he had taken somethign like this before.

Adonia sniffed derisively. "You know I could still smack you over the head to help the medicine along" she snarled, sitting down and wiping her brow while waiting for him to pass out.

"Go for it," he grumbled, both a little angry and starting to get sleepy. Besides if she did, which he didn't think she would, he wouldn't be feeling is in a few minutes.

"I was being sarcastic" she muttered through her hands, which were now covering her face trying to hide the fact that she was shaking slightly. It had been a stressful day... but now she just had to wait for him to pass out and she would be able to finish his arm in peace.

Adonia looked up as Eos's breathing became slower and steadier.

"Finally..." she muttered, standing up and grabbing the ointment once more, pouring some on a soft cloth before dabbing it along the wound gently.

She finally finished swabbing the burn. She wearily untied his arm and grabbed a length of bandage, binding up the wound firmly. She then took another cool cloth to swab some of the sweat from his face.

She finally collapsed onto a nearby stool. "There... all done tough guy" she muttered mutinously. "Thank you Iva." she sighed wearily, her face in her hands.

((sorry for disappearing XD I had to go to bed....))

Iva watched from the sidelines as the whole scene unfolded. When Adonia finished treating the rather childish mentor Eos, she walked up to the Siren. She put an arm around her and smiled. "You did well Adonia."

Iva walked over to Eos to check the bandage, only to make sure she didn't make it too tight cutting off the circulation would mean the Amazon would have to perform an amputation. Which the woman only did once and never ever wanted to do again. "Adonia, you did a wonderful job in handling this. I'm sorry I wasn't around...I never seem to be around when people are sick or injured." Iva sighed a little angry that she wasn't around again.

Adonia looked up, seeming rather surprised. "Really?" she said, relieved. "I was so worried I was going to get something wrong." she groaned. "He's such a child sometimes" she sad shooting his sleeping form a filthy look. Seeing him there, completely still and quiet though, she couldn't help but smile. "But like this, he's not half-bad," she giggled. Standing and drawing a sheet from the cot up around his still bare torso; she rolled her eyes and turned mildly pink, muttering "Why do all the men around me end up shirtless?"

Adonia was surprised at Iva's reaction. "Well, you can't be here all the time." she said reasonably. "You have other duties and you need some alone time every once in a while as well..." She considered the issue for a moment. "Maybe... maybe there's a way someone can make you a magical amulet that will let you know when someone comes to the infirmary for help?" she suggested.

"All the men around you end up shirtless? Interesting, care to elaborate on that Adonia?" Iva asked curiously, Eos would be out cold for another half hour the dose that Adonia had given him was a tiny one.

Iva flung her arms around the siren, which is a strange sight to see because the Amazon never shows affection and more specifically doesn't really like hugging. "Thats brilliant Adonia! I wonder if I can get it embedded on my staff too incase I take that with me. Oh gosh that will help me so much!" Iva gushed on and on about her idea. It really was brilliant.
