Operation: Sneaky Empty Operation: Sneaky

After drawing small war markings on her cheeks the Aztec lamia began her reconnaisance mission in the new grounds. Her tail was a tight as a coiled spring as she launched herself off a felled log and onto the forest floor where she quickled slithered up the nearest tree and looped her body around in the boughs and smaller branches.
"Hmmmmm" was all she had to say and her reptillian eyes surveyed her new found vantage point...which wasn't any good since the tree only reached high enough for her view to be covered by more leaves. She crawled back down the tree head first and back onto the ground where she continued her scoutig process on another tree. This time she saw and was well covered by leaves so nobody could see her human half and when she was satisfied she lowered herself back down to lounge in her curled tail and relax, rubbing the feral markings off her face with the palm of her hand. Sending the tip of her tail to lash through the delicate stalk of a hanging apple she held out a hand to catch it and proceded to chew very contently. It wasn't very easy to see her but too bad for her she had left the tip end of her serpent half hanging downwards swishing as she hummed to herself.

((God ^^; first RP evar xDD Jeez Noob alert XD))

[ Yeee~ ^^ ]

Jane was going for a walk, looking for a place where she could sit and think - mostly about home, about her old friends and coworkers, wondering about what people thought had happened to her. She did this occasionally, when she felt slightly overwhelmed by the Athenaeum and how strange it was, but it was happening less and less often as she got used to it.

However, she was surprised to see what looked like the brightly colored tip of a snake's tail hanging out of an apple tree. What on earth was that doing there? That was when Jane heard the humming, and she realized that someone (by now she'd gotten used to the various species of the Athenaeum and had stopped thinking 'someone - or something') must be sitting in the tree.

"Hello?" she asked curiously, wondering at the reply that she'd get.

Eyes widening in surprise, she ate the entire apple (core and all) and then from her lounge on the boughs Chico lowered her torso down with the main part of her tail still looped around the branches to inspect the origin of the voice so that she hung just above the person. She saw a girl and the lamia smiled widely, blue forked tongue flicking out over her small pointed canines. "hola" Chicomecoatl greeted cheerily and cocked her head at the brunette. She'd never seen anyone so pale or who's clothing was so...ordinary, maybe it was culture shock but she just took a minute to look bordering on stare at the girl.

((Oh lawd this is so new =3=))

[ Don't worry, it takes a while to get used to and you have to start somewhere. You're starting off way better than I did, trust me xD ]

"Hola," she replied, thinking back to her Spanish lessons that she hadn't taken in a while but could still remember a lot of. "Estoy Aire Jane. ¿Y tú?"

While she spoke, she thought that this must be the strangest thing that the Athenaeum had shown her yet. But then again, it wasn't the first, or the second, or even the third time that she'd thought that, so she might as well give up on being amazed at what everyone was like.

[ Whee Google translate >>; ]

((Google translate and online thesaurus RPer's best friends xD))

"Hola Jane, estoy Chicomecoatl, hablo Inglés también" she smiled crookedly and the a loop of he tail untied from the tree's branches above and Chico laid back in it like a hammock, still hanging from the tree. She swung lazily from side to side in her scaly swing as she looked at the girl with friendly yet curious orange eyes. "Where is this place? Its very leafy" Then the black belt that had been hanging out of the cloth sash around her waist started to move and opened its beady black eyes. It was her pet kingsnake and he was looking a little woozy from motion sickness."Cocozca" she scowled but smirked as the snake curled up her arm and rested its head on her shoulder to peek at Jane as well.

[ Yes, yes they are xD ]

"I'm not sure where this place is," she said, glancing around. "It's just been the Athenaeum to me." Jane had to admit that the snake surprised her just a little, but it made sense.

[ Sorry my post is so short, I blame homework. ><; ]

"I sense adventure" the lamia perked up and in a laid back fashion started uncurling herself from the branches and lowering herself to the ground, her snake already draped around her shoulders casually. When she managed to get all 12ft of her tail out of the canopy she grinned deviously at Jane and started to slither along the forest floor to walk? beside her. "So mind giving me a tour, of course you don't" she giggled, eager to go and explore this strange, new area.

"Well, the forest here goes on for a ways. I'm not sure how far. Then back behind us with the Athenaeum there's the lake and field and stuff..." Jane tried to remember exactly where everything was, but she was never very good with words.
