Flower's are Prehteh C:
Cosette had just gotten done with her Earth magic class, and even though she wasn't good at earth magic... at all, she still enjoyed it. It put her in the mood to see more flowers than she did in class. So she decided to walk through he gardens, taking in the sweet smell of the blossoming plants and fresh air.
She stopped at a funny looking, but pretty, purple plant and knelt to get a better look at it.
((*shrugs* boredom, I ignore Cosette, etc. So short and random.))

Cedric had decided to take a walk along the gardens, a place that he found pleasant enough to relax without going to the bath house. In fact, he wasn't a great fan of that place since.. well, taking a bath was something private to him and knowing that he had to bath with other man and nereid, placed himself on an uncomfortable position.
As he walked, he spotted a dark haired girl, enjoying the scents of flowers and approached her, bowing down "Good morning, m'lady. Beautiful day, isn't it?" Cedric asked with a polite smile.

Cosette looked up when she heard a gentle voice greet her. "Oh hello," she said with a smile. "Yes it is.. but it usually is here."
He was a tall boy with neat blond hair and pretty eyes. He looked like he belonged in a Sherlock Holmes book... and then she remembered that the Athenaeum existed outside of time.
"I don't think I've met you before," she pointed out as she held out her hand to shake his. "My name is Cosette, but you can call me Seti."

Cedric smiled as the girl replied to him. He gently took her hand and kissed it lightly, like the gentleman he was. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Seti. My name is Cedric Oswald and I am a student of Hermes." he replied, looking at the flowers.
"I see that, like any lady, you like flowers. Might I ask which one is your favorite?"

((Fffff, that's the SECOND time that happened to my female characters... Ruairi kissed Kai's hand. Pfft it was funny.))
Seti blushed as Cedric kissed her hand. Her dark skin turning a shade darker on her cheeks.
"Hmm, well, I never really thought about it but... I like forget-me-nots, but they don't have that nice a smell. Lilies are nice, and daisies and sunflowers. Hah uhm sorry I'm not actually answering your question. Sunflower's then," she came to a decision.

((But ruairi does it because he's a manwhore xD Cedric does it because he was taught to!))
Cedric hear Cosette carefully, rubbing his chin lightly "Oh it's okay, maybe you have several favorite flowers, like I do!" he said with a small chuckle. "Sunflowers are a pretty and big flower... It's interesting to see how they follow the sun to get their food supplies.."

((But he's a pretty man-whore... <3 I do love teh gentlemeeen))
"Do you know the myth behind them?" she asked conversationally, meaning sunflowers. Sniffing another flower, then looking back at Cedric.

((Indeed he is <3))
Cedric tilted his head lightly to the side and blinked his orange eyes "No, care to tell me, Miss Seti?" he asked with a small smile.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
Seti smiled, happy to tell him a story, even if said story wasn't necessarily the 'happy' kind. "A young girl fell in love with the sun, and every morning she would wake up at dawn and just watch him as he went through the sky. But the sun didn't return her feelings, but didn't want to be mean to someone who loved him so much. So he turned her into a flower. So she could still watch him as he went through the sky and live with him even if they weren't together," she explained then stood up straight and looked him in the, pretty orange, eyes. "It's not very happy is it..." she mused. "But you know, the Greeks," she said with a shrug.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
Cedric listened to Seti's story about the sunflowers and frowned lightly "I've always thought greek legends were quite tragic and never happy. But turning a girl into a flower... that's quite selfish from Apollo actually. I feel sorry for the girl." He replied, shaking his head, following his orange eyes to the sun too.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
"That's why they're called Greek tragedies, like Heracles, and Orpheus and Euridice," she said with a sigh. "But I think that was a Helios myth, not Apollo." At least she hoped so. Of course she heard the nastier myths that had to do with her sponsor, flaying a satyr, Coronis, etc... but this one was sometimes blamed on Helios, and she clung to that fact.
"Or at least I hope my sponsor, Apollo, wouldn't be that mean to a girl with a crush."
((She has a thing for Apollo.... heh.))

Cedric walked to a bench and patted the sit next to him. "Please sit down, m'lady and don't tire your legs out." he suggested, adjusting his glasses lightly "Well, you know how gods are... some take advantage of mortal creatures like us and manipulate them... Hermes is not one of them, I found him kind enough. But Apollo.... I don't know." Cedric shook his head "I don't mean to insult your sponsor in any way!"

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
Seti smiled, Cedric was quite a gentleman. And nodded as she sat. "Oh it's fine," she said with a shrug. "The gods do tend to play games with mortals..."
"I've never met Hermes," she mused. She wondered if he was any better than the rest of the gods. If Cedric thought so she wouldn't doubt him. And her friend Calla seemed to think the world of the flighty god.

Cedric sighed "It's not okay... but either way, it was our choice to come here, wasn't it?" he said, shrugging his shoulders lightly.
"Oh, he's probably one of the nicest gods. He's kind and asked politely if I wanted to be in the Athenaeum and even if I refused I think he would leave me alone." Cedric explained to Seti with a small smile.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
"I like it better here than I did back home," she let Cedric ((Just thought Cedric Digory)) know that Apollo hadn't taken her away from a particularly 'loving' family. Seti smiled back at him as he talked about Hermes. The god sounded nice.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
((Everybody does))
Cedric looked up to the sky "Well... I think I can relate to the same... Besides my parents, I didn't have much to grab to. So, the Athenaeum wasn't a bad idea... before my final year of course." he sighed again and looked to Cosette. "YOu are a first year, right?"

"Yep," she answered him. "It could get worse, but I doubt it. Even the teachers are nice," she said with a smile.

"Yes, my mentor is somebody very humble actually... I do know the other but very little." Cedric said. "I do love to talk with mister Morph. He's completely amazing and an interesting person to talk to.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
"I haven't met Morpheus yet," she admitted. "Though I have heard of him, he sounds nice." The Satyr sounded like a sweet guy.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
"Never thought that a Satyr would teach mathematics and would be so smart actually!" Cedric chuckled lightly, trying to cheer the conversation up, getting away from the dramas.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
Seti laughed. Seeing as how Satyrs were beings under Dion, they were known for what their god was known for. Wine and frolicking.
"Do you take his math class?" she asked. Seti was, but she hadn't thought a lot of other people were.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
Cedric shook his head "Unfortunatly no, I'm far too interested in the history of the greek and roman mythology to take that class. It's a shame that we can just choose one." he sighed "Even so, I solve some math problems in my free time, in order to amuse myself."

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
Seti chuckled. "Hmm then... I'm in his math class. And Adelphie... and I think that's it," she said sadly. Not many people were interested in math she guessed.

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
"Oh! You are in math class then? I think I've met miss Adelphie... but I don't know it quite exactly." Cedric rubbed his chin thinking and looked to Cosette. "Oh, lady Seti don't feel sad. It was quite a dilemma to choose a class but... if you want we can meet up and solve some exercizes. I feel like it."

Re: Flower's are Prehteh C:
Seti chuckled again, because Cedric was so nice in a nerdy-gentleman-kind-of-way. "Oh I would, but I'm taking the math class because I'm bad at it," she admitted.
