Late night swim

Adonia crept along as quietly as possible through the dark grounds. It had been a long day, and she didn't feel like sitting in a bathhouse full of pretty nymphs preening and gossiping while she tried to relax, so she had opted to come out to swim in the lake instead. She was risking running into a mentor after curfew, and the water would be colder, but she preferred that over her other options.

She finally found it. A small area with overhanging willows so thick no-one would notice her unless they were out on the lake. She sat by the water's edge and carefully began combing through her ridiculously long hair, shedding the scales she normally wore over her feet so she could dip her toes in the water.
