Mary wandered the sunny garden paths, a heavy book tucked into the crook of her arm. The dappled shade of the garden had called her from her quarters, bringing a book with her of course. As much as she enjoyed reading, though, today she found that she much preferred to pursue the heady scent of the flowers instead of the words on the next page.

Trailing her fingers along the tops of the blooms she could reach, Mary hummed quietly to herself, entertaining sudden thoughts of dancing and maybe a little company.
