Hesperos' (Eos') Room

Eos' roomis rather empty, bland, and neat. Other than the desk that faces the only window. The desk is covered in papers, varying from filled with text to completely blank. He hates paper work and tries to put it off as long as he can which is usually why he's so backed up with it.

He has a single bed with a dark blue quilt that looks hand made (if anyone dares to touch this he will probably beat you), and a dagger under his pillow (the paranoid fool also has a Xithos strapped to his leg). Something only the spear instructor would have, a rack of varied medium distance level weapons hang on his wall. (ie, spears, sythes, axes, and one javelin... he believes javelins are evil... -shrugs-)

Something you wouldn't expect from this Mentor of the Womanizer (and Manly-man... XD) is a large bookshelf holding many leather bounds books that look a lot like journals (but no one can have a life long enough to fill ALL of those, heh, right?) and other books. There are also some pictures. One of a pretty woman with long wavy brown hair and brown eyes, and a small girl sitting on her lap, who looks a lot like the woman but has big bright green eyes. There's also one of another young girl, about five, with skin the color of the bottom of a jar full of honey, with hair a shade darker, and golden-yellow eyes. And one of a young man, about 24-27, with black hair and tan skin, he has on a black jacket, and is flipping off whoever took the picture.

Eri sneaked down the hall toward her teacher's room with an evil grin and a small bottle clutched in her hands. As she approached the door to Eos' room, she handed the small bottle to her accomplice and partner in crime, Jane, pulling a pin out of her and beginning to pick the lock. "keep a look out for anyone coming along ok Jane?" she whispered excitedly.

Taking the bottle, she nodded and glanced around. Jane couldn't help but grin, standing with her back to the wall and all senses on high alert. If they were caught, things could go badly. Very badly. It was nice to know that some of her skills needed from her old job could be put to use.

"I've got you covered," she whispered, not looking down.

Eri fiddled with the lock for a good while bfefore finally hearing a click. with a malevolent grin, she nudged the door open. "we're in" she whispered, tiptoeing through the door.

Glancing around once more, Jane swiftly followed Eri and quietly shut the door behind them. She gave Eos' room the once-over, out of habit more than anything, before turning towards her friend for further instruction.

Peering at the pictures and seeing the one of the dark-haired tan young man, noting his hand gesture. "Oh that's pleasant... must be related.." turning to Jane. "Help me find whatever shampoo or hair care stuff he uses.... then we'll mix this in."

She nodded and started methodically searching the room, trying to leave it mostly like she found it so that he wouldn't suspect anything. Everything seemed pretty standard, which shouldn't surprise her, but it was always the shock of having someone like a mentor or a boss having a home life that never quite went away. Still, at least there wasn't anything weird in there.

Eri began searching through everything. She was rooting about in his drawers when her hand closed on a book buried under some shirts. "Oi, Jane... come have a look at this then...." She held up a heavy book on telekinesis, before something else caught her eye.

"What the he-" she gently pulled out two small locks of hair tied together. One lock was obviously Eos', but the other was darker... a color she did not recognize. "That's just a bit odd isn't it?" she said eying it curiously.

Stopping her search, Jane glanced over and came to look. Scratch that last thought. "Yeah, just a bit. I wonder what those are for?" she said, studying the hair. It seemed like something out of one of the better classes of romance novels.

Then she turned her attention to the book, which, while not being quite so mysterious, seemed more interesting. "Oh hello, this looks fascinating."

Eri tucked the hair back in place carefully and turned her attention back to the book, thumbing through a few pages. "Wonder why he wants to know about telekinesis?..." she muttered before realizing she was dawdling.

"Shoot..." she muttered, tucking the book back into the drawer and continuing her search. "We gotta hurry up, do this, and get out of here... Where the bloody hell d'you think he keeps his hair stuff?" she whispered, continuing to rifle through his drawers.

Going back to her search, Jane was in the middle of saying "Damned if I know" when she came across the shampoo. "Aha! Here it is!"

Triumphantly holding up a bottle, she began unscrewing the top, glancing around as if she could see through walls.

Eos froze in the hall when he saw his door slightly ajar. What the...? His head tilted to the side and he peered in for a second before walking in, seeing Eri and a student he didn't recognize. There was no doubt in his mind, whatever this was it had been Eri's idea. The girl just didn't... he wondered how she had been raised.

"Eri," he snapped.

Jane froze, the hair on the back of her neck feeling like it was standing on end. Caught in the act...this was bad. Trying to keep a straight face and a cool head, she set the shampoo down and turned, taking a deep breath and putting on her passive face that she usually reserved for interviews.

Eri's head shot up with a jolt, "ah shhhhhhhhhhh-" she muttered under her breath before turning the stone-like face she generally reserved for her father when being scolded to Eos and cocking her head in an infuriating manner. "Ah, hullo, sir" she said in a manner that suggested it was perfectly normal for her to be rifling about in his things.

Eos glared at the girls, one set down a bottle of shampoo he forgot he had. What had they been up to.

"What exactly is going on here?" he asked. Going into his room without permission was one thing, but rifling through his things was another.

"Nothing, sir," she said in the bland voice she'd used so often at work as she stared straight ahead, back straight and hands at her side. It didn't feel right in her comfortable clothes she wore at the Athenaeum and not in her not-quite-so-comfortable uniform, but it was automatic.

"Nothing at all" was Eri's answer, her face having turned into the placid expression she had developed over the years when in trouble. She had almost made a snide remark at the teacher, but had bit her tongue and retreated behind her expressionless lump mask for Jane's sake... no sense getting her in more trouble.

"This wasn't her idea by the way." she said, crossing her arms, and Indicating Jane with a tilt of the head. "So blame me, not her."

"But I did agree to it," Jane added, not wanting Eri to take responsibility fully. She had been asked if she wanted to back out and had refused, so she might as well take some of the blame. "And I was in my right mind at that time, sir."

[Eos]

Eos rolled his eyes, he had expected as much.

"All right then, you, what's your name, and who's your sponsor?" he asked the girl he didn't know. He would let her leave after she told him that much. But he and Eri were going to have a talk.

"Jane Aire, Artemis, sir," she said, still staring straight ahead. Not that sponsors really mattered, all they did was interrupt your life and then expect you to go through with it cheerfully...

[Eos]

Eos sighed, his aunt wouldn't be too happy with him if he dragged her warrior down.

"Eri," he said sharply. "We're going to have a talk. Possibly with or without Lady Tahirah."

"Jane you can leave as soon as you tell me what you two were doing."

"Sir?" she asked blankly, feigning ignorance. Damn, how did she say something like that? The least she could do was buy some time, though this would probably reflect badly on her later.

Eri allowed herself a small roll of the eyes at Eos before returning to her expressionless look. "I don't have anything to say to you 'sir'," she sniffed.

[Eos]

Eos glared at Eri. Usually he didn't have such dark and angry feelings for young girls, bu there was something special about Eri.

"Right," he snapped sarcastically. "And I suppose you were just curious as to what kind of shamp-" It struck him like a ton of bricks and he facepalmed. "You were going to put dye in it." It wasn't a question. Tahi had told him about the time she had put dye in her brother's shampoo. And he didn't doubt she had told her student, Eri, the same story.

"Jane, I'll be talking to Alkaia. Eri, we're going to pay Tahirah a visit."

Eri rolled her eyes again, this time allowing herself an infuriatingly sweet grin. "Now whatever makes you say that 'sir'?" she asked, just as nicely as could be.
