Raivynne stood in front of the Siren's door. She dreaded the moment when she would walk in there and become a doll for the woman. Amaranth would surely put so much make up on her no one would be able to tell it was the Raivynne underneath the layers of goop. Sighing she knocked on the door, awaiting for Amaranth to fling the door open.

Amaranth grinned as she sashed around her room making sure everything was set up and in it's place.

She couldn't wait for the ball, it was going to be so exciting. Did anyone know how hard it isvto organize a ball and keep it a secret from Mnem??? It's really hard.

Amaranth blinked as she heard a knock on her door, that must be Rai. She giggled and rushed over to the door flinging it open she pulled get friend in for a hug.

"welcome to my humble abode."

Amaranth smiled and closed the door looking over Rai so much to do with so little time.

Raivynne grinned. "Like I haven't been here before?" She laughed at the mentor before glancing about the room. "And how have you been lately?" Rai asked politely. Still dreading what Amaranth would do to her.

Amaranth smiled at her tiny lampad friend.

"Yes you gave Gwen here many times before, now go sit down at the vanity so we can fet started on your hair."

Amaranth grinned, Shes going to straighten Rai's untamable curls. It would be very interesting.

"I've been well and yourself??"

Raivynne grimaced. "Please don't hurt my head...last time you touched my head. My scalp hurt for a month."

She walked over to the vanity and sat down staring at herself in the mirror. She looked downright awful, the messy curls looked even messier and she had little circles under her eyes from not being able to sleep. Glancing to Amaranth in the mirror, she thought you are gonna need a miracle in fixing me up.

"I'm fine thank you. Although not much sleep lately." Rai shrugged her shoulders.

Amaranth blinked and looked over Rai, taking everything in. She was going to need a manicure and a pedicure, her hair is going to be straightened...oh dear, those circles. Why had she not been sleeping?

"Aw Rai, what wrong whats been keeping you from sleeping?"

Amaranth smiled and went behind her, and convured up water magic, wetting her head and only her head to allow her to run a brush through her hair. She smiled down at Rai.

"Now use your fire to heat up the air around your hair, the steam with straighten it."

Amaranth knew what she would do for the makeup too, but she was going to have to conceal those dark circles, mask or no mask, that was horrible looking. She was going to have to give Rai a massage so she would fall asleep.

Amaranth smiled.

"After this it's your makeup and then we can get you dressed."

She shrugged her shoulders, "I've never been a good sleeper I guess." Her sleeping habits had never been normal since she was ten. Raivynne nodded and did as she was told even though it pained her to straighten her crazy curls. "Oh joy...makeup." Rai said with sarcasm dripping off every word.

Amaranth raised a brow, poor Rai...she would have to talk to Hollis about herbs that could help her sleep, or talk to Mnem if she wasn't busy.

"I will ask Hollis about what herbs are good for sleep, hope fully he'll give you something that will help."

Amaranth smiled, Rais hair looked perfect...now for the makeup, it diddnt take Ama long to decide she wanted to do a sultry snmokey eye on the lampad. Amaranth applied the white, grays and black shades to the girls eye lids, looking back I was missing something. Amaranth smiled and grabbed the blue shade and applied a little bit of it. Now that was perfect.

Amaranth smiled at Rai.

"look in the mirror love, do you reconuse yourself?"

she grinned now to get her dresed, hopefullly Lyra and Zeph would be here soon.

Lyra sighed, it was about time ti head to the crazy yet strangely lovable Sirens quarters. Why the he'll had she agreed to this in the first place? She made the mistake of telling Ama she could pick out the costume for her. Mistake no 1. What if sge picked out something horribly frilly?

Oh well. as Lyra walked she passed Zeph and Rai's room, no doubt Rai was already there...she needed special attention with that mess of black curls she calls hair. In a way Lyra was excited, she couldn't wait to see arak all girly.

Lyra diddnt bother to knock on the warriors door, she pushed it open and smirked to the sight of Zeph laying on the bed.

"hey sleepy head it's time to go to Amaranths."

She laughed and grabbed Zephs hand and yanked her up.

"come on...up"

She laughed and dragged The poor nephalae female to the mentors quarters again with no knock she opened the mentors double doors.

Walking in she raised a brow to the sight before her, Damn...Amaranth could work magic.

"Hello Amaranth, Zeph and I ate here." she looked at Rai again. "Rai you look amazing."

She smiled and looked to the bed, spotting a butterfly gown, she smirked, did Amaranth honestly think Rai would wear that dress without a fight? Lyra would go to hades before she wore that frilly monstrosity. she looked around, where were the other girls?

Calla sighed as she walked to Amaranth's room. She wasn't planning on going anyway.......but Amaranth took her dress over to her room, as well as took Calla's headband, so her hair kept falling into her face. She frowned, pushing her bangs out of her face again. She wanted her headband back, NOW. She walked over, knocking on the Siren's door.

Zeph let herself get dragged by her other crazy Lampad friend to another crazy person's room. They all knew she hated to be woken up while sleeping but whatever. She was almost in awe when she saw Raivynne. Who knew the curls could be tamed.

Zephyra rubbed her eyes and looked to Amaranth. "Alright lets get this over with."

Raivynne stared at herself in the mirror. At first she had to blink really fast and really hard before agreeing that the beautiful woman in the mirror was herself. Was that shallow to think that you are beautiful, Raivynne asked herself. She was too in shock to say something so she simply nodded a thanks to Amaranth and Lyra.

Anastasia was late once again. She had stayed in her room for a while trying to plan out her lesson plan. It ended with many failure and so when she looked to the clock she nearly flipped out. The mentor nearly tripped over herself just to get to a room down the hall.

Ana flung Amaranth's door open and exclaimed. "I am not late!" Then she smiled sheepishly. "I'm sorry I'm late Amaranth. I had a lesson plan that needed planning." She quite honestly was looking forward to the ball. It would be an opportunity to try and get rid of her depression.

Amaranth grinned, very happy with Rai's reaction to herself. "Sweetie your a stunner." she giggled and then looked up smiling at Lyra. "Hey princess your next so get ready, the butterfly dress is yours."

Amaranth knew that would piss the Fire haired Lampad off. Not a moment after Lyra came in Zeph came in groaning saying lets get this over with...couldn't she be more enthusiastic? She was the scientist and they were her experiments.

"Zeph can you grab the blue, purple, black and white shadow makeup for me please? Oh and there is rose water on the kitchen table, that wil lact as an adheasive so the hair doesnt frizz." She grinned.

Then Anastasia barreled in, Amaranth giggled and pulled her blue friend into a hug. "No Ana, you're not late at all, we're still waiting for people. Can you go grab you dress please? It's in the closet." She smiled.

And then a soft knock, Amaranth raised a brow she could already tell it's Calla...honestly she was half afraid to get the door. She looked at Zeph and Ana. "Never mind those favors, get ready to hold Calla down...she's gonna try to run away...Lyra, you're hair can wait we'll do Calla, then Ana, then Zeph and then you."

She smirked and opened the door, the headband clutched tightly in her hand.

"Hello Calla, come in if you want your headband back." She smirked and passed it to Lyra who hid it behind her back, secretly passing it to Zeph.

Calla took a couple steps into the bedroom, a slight wind floating through the room.

"I want my headband back," she muttered, her eyes flashing. "I don't want to go to the masquerade either, so forget about convincing me to go."

Amaranth smirked and used her water to close and lock the door.

"Well now my dear you're in no position to be making demands are you." She grinned evily and took the headband out, it was passed back to her when Calla wasnt looking. Ama tied the headband around her head and then smircked motioning for the girls to hold her down.

"Oh Calla...you will be going to the masquerade...it's mandatory." she grinned, so it was a lie, big whoop. She was sure Calla would enjoy herself.

Calla dodged out of the way and frowned, using her wind to lift the headband away from Amaranth and it flew back into her hand.

"Liar. If it was mandatory, Mnem would know about it," she stated, putting the headband back on.

Amaranth glared at Calla, the Charis could be a pain in the ass at times.

"You have to go because i'm the one who organized the ball, for Mnems birthday. If you don't go then i will have a word with Kal and see to it that he and Rahi do not teach you wind magic. So cut the bul shit and let's get you ready."

nothing pissed her off more than being a liar and the Charis was just being a brat, did she not see the oportinity before her? Hermes could be there...she knew Aph would be there.

Calla flinched. She looked at the dress picked out for her before shaking her head. She stormed to the window and jumped over the balcony, using her wings to slow her decent before she kept walking back to her dorm room. She knew she was being difficult and making Amaranth mad, but she just didn't want to go. Her brisk pace eventually slowed as she sat down next to a tree between the mentor's quarters and her own. She rested her chin on her knees and let her eyes glide over the lawn. People were already getting ready for the ball, some looking stunning as they were already in costume.

Walking towards Amaranth's door - Kal was furious. Amaranth was one of his oldest friends - and they used to enjoy an on and off sort of fling before she started dating this student - but she had crossed a line this time.

"PUT ME DOWN KAL!" Tahi yelled, as she pounded on his back from over his shoulder. "It'll come out in a couple of days you big baby. And you look good as a brunette!"

Kal snorted at the last remark as he threw open the door (breaking the lock with magic of his own), and deposited his sister on the floor. "Amaranth" he growled out in a low voice. He was wearing a maroon tunic, with gold accents and lighter gold puffy sleeves underneath. Below the tunic were matching gold tights, and on his feet were maroon shoes, that curled to a point almost like a clowns. His hair was wrapped up in a towel and he was obviously agitated. "I've tolerated your relationship with my sister because it didn't seem like you have had an ill effect on her, but that was obviously not true. Now - you will tell me where the two of you have hidden all of my clothes, and you will tell me how to restore my natural hair color - or by all the gods I will... I will...." he broke off, frustrated, and as he lost his temper the winds stirred restlessly through the room, knocking the towel off his head to reveal that his silver white hair had been dyed a reddish brown.

"Ack!" he said, grabbing the towel, and fixing it back hiding his hair.

Tahi moved closer to Amaranth, and whispered "Let's send him on a wild goose chase for a little bit, huh? Tell him his clothes are somewhere FAR FAR away from here." She winked playfully at her surrogate big sister.

Amaranth sighed as Calla stormed out of the room, Amaranth turned her head and looked at Lyra. "Lyra can you go get her please?"

Amaranth began to focus on Zeph's hair while Raivynne got dressed. She decided on shot spiral curls and Pale pink makeup for the lovely Nephalae. Amaranth smiled as she put the finishing touches on the look. "Alright Zeph, go get dressed."

Amarath blinked as her door flew open Kal comming in. Amaranth's eyes roamed over his outfit, my oh my he looked wonderful minus the turban on his head and the aweful shoes. She blinked seeing Tahi slung over his shoulder. "KAL PUT HER DOWN BEFORE I BEAT YOU SENSELESS!"

Amaranth's eyes widened as she looked at Tahi a smirked spreading across her flawless features. She pouted. "Aw but Kal, dear sweet Kal...I hid them far away and i can't remember where i put them...I think some are in Mnem's private trunk" She giggled oh the poor Nephalae. "And other are spread aroud the athenaeum."

Amaranth had ignored his i tolerate your relationship with Tahi comment, he couldnt keep them apart even if he tried.

AMaranth smirked. "I must admit Kal you make a lovely Brunette, kudos to Tahi for dying your hair..." she smirked. "Im sorry Kal, thats particular dye is permanent...it will fade in two or three months, though I can't guarentee that your hair will ever be full white again. Yur lucky, Tahi and I were considering Black as a color instead." she giggled and looked at her little sister, gasping to her in just a robe.

"TAHI COME THE BALL STARTS IN TWO HOURS AND YOUR NOT DRESSED!" gyah, Ama was freaking out grabbing all the things she would need she gently pushed Tahi into the vanity chair and began to work on curling her blonde hair. Amaranth looked up at Kal a blank expression on her face. "Oh...you're still here? Well out you go, you must put your mask on still, and if you want to find your clothes i'd go before it gets dark."

She smirked, looking up at Lyra. "Lyra get dressed first and then go find Calla, when you get back I'll be done fixing Tahi up."

She smiled and got to work.

Watching her brother retreat - glaring daggers at Amaranth all the while, Tahi giggled. "When should we tell him I switched out the permanent dye for the one that lasts a week? I'm thinking never." She stretched - relaxing back into the chair. "Thanks for doing this again - Amaranth. I've decided on the orange-pink pastels dress with all the flowers as a tribute to Mnem. I'm going to need lots of help working flowers into my hair..."

Calla sighed as she entered the room again with Lyra. Though she didn't want to go, Lyra had mentioned Aphrodite's possible disappointment in her, so she reluctantly came back. The Charis dropped onto the floor.

"Just let me have it," she mumbled.
