Last lines of the play Empty Last lines of the play

Augustin sat down in the overlaying of a tree. It was totally chaotic.
There was some days ago, when the first classes strated, and he was happy that everything went back to the everyday roll. But was the play for Mnemosyne's class, and this year he got a main character in one of them, because he was a fifth year. And that was a play that he didn't knew yet, so it gave him some work to do.
But one think still fustrated him. Why tragedies? That didn't gave much hope before the last tournament. Mainly because his character dies.
He sighed. Anyway, what the reason was, he had to do his best this year. He opened the book, which he got from the library with great difficulties, and started to read it again.

Adonia was feeling more and more frustrated as she struggled in vain to understand the strange scratchings on the page of the script she was holding. "How people can find any meaning in this ridiculous chicken scratch is beyond me." she grumbled plopping down to rest under a large tree. After a moment of simply sitting there stubbornly, she finally opened the script again with a sigh straining to remember the few words she had known how to read as a child.

Raivynne decided to get some fresh air today, so there she was walking in the field. She needed to clear her mind after getting the role of Phaedra for rituals and temple works. Looking to her feet as she walked, when she looked up Raivynne saw Augustin. Walking over to him hoping it wouldn't mind her intrusion. "Hello, Augustin."

Augustin heard his name. "Oh, hello here Raivynne" he said when he saw the lampad.

"You got the other main part in the Hippolytus, right?" he asked "How much do you know from till now? Because if you think we could try to set out some form the first part."

Raivynne grimaced. "Yes I am the other main part in Hippolytus." She thought about how many times she had read the play as simply something to read. But she dreaded performing it and getting a grade for it. "Sure lets try to set out the first part. I have read this play many times."

Augustin opened his book at the first page. When he was about to start, he heard a female voice, which was quite familiar. He turned to see, if someone else is sitting there too.

"Oh, hi Adonia" he recognized her.

Adonia looked up from the script to see Augustin and Raivynne. "Oh hey!" she called blushing a bit at being seen while struggling with her lack of reading ability. "What are you guys doing out here?" she continued, snapping the script shut and putting it out of sight.

"We both have the main part of one of the play, Hippolytus for Rituals and Temple works class, and be just wanted to have a tryout." Augustin answered the question.

"And you? What are you doing here?"

"I'm trying to work on my role in An.... Andro........ I can't read it" she admitted blushing. "I saw the play once many years ago when I used to swim to the mainland and sneak about watching the humans... but its been a while. Would you mind if I watch you practice? I don't think I'm going to get very far with this today anyway," she said gesturing to the script.

"Oh please don't put off your own practice" The siren squeaked blushing and tripping over her own words. "I'll figure it out somehow, I can always speak with my teachers and get some help from them or-or... just keep sounding it out as bets as I can.... and.. yeah... I don't want to be a bother."

Raivynne smiled at Adonia. "Lets help Adonia out. We can still practice while helping her, right Augustin?" She asked the older boy. Not waiting for an answer she walked over to Adonia, sat down next to her, and said. "The bookworm is here to help." Raivynne grinned at the siren ready to help.

"er well..." Adonia mumbled not looking up at her friends. "I just... I can't read... I can sometimes sound out a word or two, but I can't really read anything without some help." she admitted, her hand itching towards the script she had hidden behind her.

"Haha, right!" Augustin smiled, when Raivynne put the last part of their victory to place. "We will help you" he smiled, and sat next to the two girl.

"So... you need to learn reading, but you said that you can recognice some words, right?" he asked slowly "Because if yes, then I think we should look again to the alphabet, and after everything will be easier."
He turned to Raivynne "What do you think?"

"I do know some more common words from having seen them a lot when I would sneak onto the mainland back home... like the kind one would see on shop signs an such... but not much else really," Adonia said looking down at her lap, still feeling silly about her lack of education.

"Well, if you know some words, then you know the alphabet too, right?" Augustin asked. "Why don't you try this line' he pointed the third row in Adonia's book. We will see how much you know."

((Here's the line With a crown of golden workmanship upon my head and about my body this embroidered robe am I come hither; no presents these I wear from the palace of Achilles or Peleus, but gifts my father Menelaus gave me together with a sumptuous dower from Sparta in Laconia, to insure me freedom of speech. Such is my answer to you; ))

Adonia looked at the line of letters, and gulped. There were so many! Ok... try to remember.... "I can read 'crown of gold....' something... something... 'my head and'.. something.... embroidered robe am I c-come?' something "no presents' see what I mean?" She broke off dismally. I know a few words here and there, but I miss so much of the meaning. I never really learned the alphabet, but I've worked out some of it by trying to match up letters with the sounds in the words that I know."
