My beloved
Galene walked to the lake she had heard from others. At least a piece of water to comfort her was enough, even though it wasn't the great sea she had back home. Nor there was the statue of the nereid. Her fellow green snakes gretted her face with hisses and tender bumps on her making her smile. She didn't take her blindfold since she got there but when she arrived the lake, she had to do it. At least it wouldn't turn into stone.
She stared down at it for what looked like an eternaty. It made her smile too, thinking about all those memories. Her yellow eyes glanced over to the shiny water while she sat under a tree, resting her head on the trunk.

"Where i-is that goddamn Lake...Goddamit poseidon!" Jack panted as he ran through the extensive forest which must be around campus. Whatever Campus was. First he was pulled through a weird white tunnel and now he was dumped in a forest with one thought only, get to water or your going to be sick "Great...thanks for the help you good for nuthin dullard" he continued gasping and a invisible force tightened around his chest as soon as he uttered the words "Okay, i'm sorry...okay". The invisible grip loosened and allowed Jack to keep running. If that God had just dumped him in a East India Trading Company encampment he was screwed. Noticing a thinning of the tree's ahead, Jack bolted and emerged out to see a vast lake, glistening with the light. He didn't slow pace, in fact he moved faster, removing he shirt and shoes expertly before diving into the probably freezing lake with only his pants and necklace on.

Galene heard footsteps approaching. She knew that there were other people around but couldn't help to get nervous. The person didn't stop and she heard the splash in the water. Woah, somebody had entered the lake. She was tempted on removing her blindfold but kept it, avoiding trouble.
Instead, she tried to listen if any words came to her ears.

Re: My beloved
Reflief flooded through Jacks system as he stayed under the currents for a while. Being in water was so good especially after that strange trip. Breaking the surface, back arching, trying to throw the sodden hair out of his eye but to no avail, he moved his hands around in small circles on the surface. A lone osprey swooped down and clawed in his hair, making him shout and bat the bothersome bird away. It left in a huff and Jack could concentrate again. Observing the area surrounding the lake as best he could with just one functioning eye he noticed a women sat near a nearby tree. "Aye missy, I see you" he chuckled and even though it wasn't going to work, he splashed a small wave of water at the women.

Galene kept hearing the water splashes and then the scream, making her wonder but she kept still. It was a danger and she didn't have any glasses around. She heard some words, directed to her but before she could answer she felt the water, making her instantly react, her snakes hissing.
She made a fire ring and throw it, thinking she could be attacked. "Who's there?" she asked, after with a rather angry face.

Re: My beloved
His face was lit up by the sudden ring of fire that surrounded the girl, but Jack just looked uninterested and he huffed. "I was only being polite wit cha, now why'd you go and do something like that hmm?" straddling the water he closed his eyes and distiguished area's of the flames with his magic. He was Nereid after all. "Who's there...I'm there, Jacks the name miss" Even if the strange reptillian women couldn't see he did a small bow before returning to look at her, intrigued.

Re: My beloved
Galene listened to his words, she could notice a strange accent. "Well, I don't think throwing water to somebody else is being polite." she said with a cold voice and hear him introduce himself. "I see...." she said, trying to see through her blindfold but was useless. "You control water, I see... what race are you?" she asked curiously.

Re: My beloved
"Its the politest your gonna get with me missy, being a Nereid an' all" he was smirking at the women and ran a finger along the scar that ran down his left cheek. "An' you are, don't you think its rude of you to ask and not return the favour of answering...?" Jacks voice was cheery and his irsh accent was sure to stand out here...wherever here was, but it certainly didn't look exactly normal. Pulling himself up onto the riverbank he walked over to the tree the women was sitting near and sat on the grass next to her.

Re: My beloved
She frowned at the sound of the Nereid part. And she frowned hard. She tried to keep a straight face but it had hit her hard down to the bottom, especially because they were near a lake. She snapped out of it when she heard his voice again, still intrigued by his accent. "Well, I think it's fair enough.... I'm Galene Nike, Jack." she said, trying not to shake her voice.

Re: My beloved
Jack noticed the change in her tone, the slight edgyness that wasn't there before. Detecting emotions were a speciality of his, since he felt emotions like water, they flowed deep and changed either very subtly or very drastically. "Nice to meet you Galene" he smiled while he fiddled around with his necklace, tracing the flowing celtic pattern. Deciding it was best to not ask any more questions he just spoke about whatever was in his head at the time. "Poseidon dumped me here huh? not a very calculated move for a god...one minute I'm in the Caribbean enjoying the breeze and now I'm here...well at least there's water and pretty things like you, are all the girls here up to your standard" he chuckled playfully.

Re: My beloved
Seeing that he didn't touch the subject she feared the most, Galene took a silent deep breath, feeling relieved but still aware of the male. Hearing his story she didn't smile. "Well, you are here because you want too. Nobody forces you to stay. I'm also here because of Poseidon and Amphitrite." her snakes hissed slightly at his last words "And you should be careful with your words, cheap compliments are not required."

Re: My beloved
"Ouch, I was only been nice" he smiled making small grooves in the earth to his side with his nails. He was a bit unnerved by snakes, his last encounter with one didn't go too well and he had the scar to prove it. "So you come here often to wait for the pretty boys and turn them to stone?" Jack started to laugh softly before that osprey came down again and landed on his right shoulder. Stroking the birds neck with a finger his attention was momentarily caught by the osprey. "Aye Braelyn" he asked the stern looking bird.

Re: My beloved
Galene didn't like that last sentence of his. It made her feel miserable and it hurted so much that she turned her head to Jack and her lips formed a thin line. Seeing that a bird landed on his right shoulder, she quickly took her blindfold and opened her eyes, revealing a bright snakey yellow and looked at the osprey, quickly turning him into stone. She also took a quick glance at Jack before closing her eyes and putting the blindfold again.
"No. And I don't like those words of yours." she said with the most cold voice she had.

Re: My beloved
"Missy do you mind turning my conscious to stone!" Jack scoffed shoving the now dead-weight statue off his shoulder. "Fine if your going to be like that, i'll leave you here with your misery you horrid creature, I hope you turn everyone you love into stone!" Jack was pissed and he wanted the words to hurt as much as possible, even if he didn't truly mean them. Getting up from the grass, he stalked over to the lake with the stone bird and threw it and himself into the icy waters. Lets hope the legend was as true here as it was anywhere else. Water brings life, if it didn't looks like Jack wouldn't be having a conscious for a while.

Re: My beloved
The snakes were completely pissed so was Galene. She stood up also and the earth started to feel alittle hot. The grass was now burning and each step Galene gave, a new fire footprint appeared. She was walking towards the lake, where Jack and his horrible words had disappeared but Galene wanted to hurt him as well. She was not going away with at least slapping him of punching.
She waited for him to come back to the surface, while the border of the lake burned.

"Come on then, I'm not afraid to hit a women if thats what you are!" he yelled releasing his now revived conscious in bird form to the wind, where it quickly flew out of sight. "But i'll put it off, I don't take joy in it, you can wait there till the cows come home love~"

Re: My beloved
Galene glared to the sound of the bird's wing and threw a fire ball to him, hoping to hit him "And you should be careful with the words you use, you fool!" she yelled back, snaking hissing. "Men like you are not needed around!"

Re: My beloved
"Men like me~ aww here's me thinking I was unique, you don't even know me, so how can you judge me?" Dodging the fireball...just, leaving the skin on the right side of his face singed. "Do that again, I dare ya, I double dare ya" all hints of playfullness that had being undertoning his voice before were gone, making him sound dangerous and disturbing. Wicked gleams were flickering in his eyes and his grin twisted malicously

Re: My beloved
"Well, first of all, you don't wet a lady!" she threw another ball of fire to shut him up "Second, you don't come hitting on her with cheap compliments!" again, another ball. "And lastly, you don't judge her as well just because of her race!" these last words were filled with pain and anger and she threw the bigger ball she could made that moment.

Re: My beloved
Jack didn't have any time to react, so he got hit by all three fireballs, on in the left arm, another in his shoulder and the last in his chest. The force sent him backwards into the water, steaming from the heat and the roasted pirate. He sunk to the depths of the lake, temporarily unconscious.

Re: My beloved
Galene thought that the nereid was quick enough to dodge all the balls but she was wrong. When she heard the body splashing into the water, she was alarmed and scared. What to do? she thought in panic. Well, there was no other way then to swim towards him and get him out. But that implied that she removed her blindfold. Better that then being kicked from the athenaeum for killing a warrior. She took her blindfold and dive into the water, finding Jack's body a few meters down. She quickly grabbed him and swam to the surface, trying not to look at him. As she reached the shore, Galene layed him down and before he could open his eyes she decided it was the best to put her blindfold back on her face.

Re: My beloved
Jack came back to his senses, automatically reaching down and patting the area's where the flames had hit him. "Well there wasn't any need miss, I was only pulling yer leg y'know" he scowled at the gorgon, but it didn't last long as he put his hands behind his head and smiled. "Appreciation to you fer savin me down there, yer didn't have to"

Re: My beloved
Galene was still slightly in shock for saving a Nereid. She looked at her hand that were layed over her knees and soon, as Jack woke up, she looked at the wounds she had caused and listened to his words. She put a neutral face and said "I don't want to be kicked out for killing a warrior." she said with a neutral tone, trying not to care about his wounds.

Re: My beloved
Jack smiled at the Galene even though his look was apologetic. "Look, I don't say this often but i'm...." he huffed not being able to finish his sentence. "Naw I can't say it, too bad" Instead he winked at the gorgon playfully and propped himself up on his elbows. "Reminds me of the time I meddled with the fire demon of the east, I came home with scars that time lemme tell yer"

Re: My beloved
Galene tilted her head to the side and her snakes smelled the hair "Fire demon of the east?" she blinked her eyes. Was there a creature like that? Where did he came from? "Do tell.... I'm quite curious." she smirked back.
