Lost your way little one?

Adonia tiptoed down the dark hallways apprehensively. She had gotten lost in various places all around the Athenaeum before, but she'd never seen this place.

"W-where on earth am I" she whispered as she felt her way along the dark tunnel-like hallways, summoning a small ball of light to see by, jumping slightly a she heard a strange sound behind her.

"W-who's there?" she called turning to peer into the dark behind her. Silence.

She turned back to continue along the tunnel, sincerely wishing she had brought her scythe with her. When she heard another sound louder this time.

"H-hello?! Who's there?!" she called looking around frantically, but there was nothing to be seen in the murky shadows of the dungeon halls. She began to back away slowly, and suddenly turned to run down the hall.... but there was that noise again. Was she imagining it or was it coming from under...

Just as she turned a long white hand burst from the ground in front of her, clamping onto her face.

With an ear-piercing scream, that echoed terribly in the dark halls, she attempted to wrench the cold hand from her face. She could hear something moving around behind her, but she wasn't about to stay and find out what it was. She bit the hand, relieved as it recoiled and sank into the ground.

She began to run, but she had barely gotten six feet when another hand burst from the ground grabbing her ankle and sending her crashing to the ground. She sent balls of water and fire at the hand, but it continued to cling to her ankle, and she could see something large and white farther down the hall. She didn't know what it was, but the sight sent chills down her spine as she tried to kick off the hand.

((Oh mai.... I'm so mean to my poor defenseless little siren.. feel free to pop in if you feel like fighting >D))

((Might as well seeing as how he so rudly left this poor siren sitting in a feild by herself. And he has like 1000 of 1000 health ffff >D *evil laugh*))

Eos was in the dungeon looking for some sort of monster for his class, he had gotten the idea from Mnem... a slightly dangerous idea, but he wanted his class to be memorable. It wasn't is if he wasn't prepared either, he had his sheild strapped to his back, his Xithos (short sword) in one hand, and his spear in the other. He looked like a mess, he had come into contact with a few monsters, all too strong to let loose on the students. Their multi-colored blood painted his clothes.

He flinched when he heard a high-pitched scream.

"Oh fff-" he sighed and ran toward whoever needed help.

He found Adonia, on the floor, trying hard to get away from what looked like a hand coming out of the floor. WHAT THE-? He thought to himself as he cut the hand at it's wrist, getting more blood on himself, but freeing the siren.

"What are you doing down here?!" He snapped, not meaning to sound angry, but not able to make the worry in his voice come out anyother way.

Adonia nearly jumped out of her skin as a sword came out of nowhere slicing the hand off and she heard an angry, male voice.

"What are you doing down here?!"

She cringed rather tearily as she looked up to see the face of her teacher Eos. "E-eos!" she squeaked "I-I'm sorry I was" her face turned white a she saw multiple hands shoot out of the ground a short distance away and a white shadowy form making their way towards them. "EOS!" she yelled pointing frantically.

((Ffff yeah... He was a knight at one point, my beautiful Gary Stu XD, I guess the rules of chivalry still apply, also... what the heck is going on? D:))

Eos moved his body so he was slightly in front of Adonia, blocking her from whatever was ahead of them.

"Adonia, I would really appreciate it if you could use some of your fire magic right now." Eos told her as he waited for whatever was ahead to come toward them. He unstrapped his sheild and gave it to Adonia, hoping she would get the hint and stap it to her back. He couldn't use it while fighting with both of his weapons and he had his back anyway. She was a student, it was his job to protect her.

Adonia took the shield putting it across her back as Eos had been wearing it before and scrambled to her feet.
"I tried that!" she said looking a tad frantic. "But it just sucked it up! In fact it.." her eyes grew huge as the thing fired a fire-ball at them. "Look out!" she yelled grabbing Eos' collar and dragging him out of the way.

((Well he can't use magic sooo FFFF finally a little bit of an advantage for him... I don't think he can beat this alone... where is the dice roll thing or fff no idea how to do this =3=))

"Ugh," he grunted as Adonia pulled him out of the way of a rather large fire-ball. "Thanks.... do you have any weapons?" he asked, figuring this was not the kind of thing you fought hand-to-hand.

((Eh, I have no idea how this works. I mean, we don't have someone to play the monster, so I would say, just RP the heck out of this and have fun with it.))

"No" she said frantically "I wasn't expecting a fight! I was trying to find the forge!" She yelled looking around for a weapon of some sort. "What are YOU doing here anyway?" he said seeing the multicolored gobs of goop on his clothes. "You look like you-" One of the hands came hooting towards them grabbing her around the waist. "SHOOT!" she yelled, clawing at it with her long nails.

Eos ct at the wrist again, splashing bloos on Adonia. "I was looking for a moster..." he said very matter-of-fact, like people walked into this place all the time, as they would an eccentric pet store. "Adonia, can you use those wings?" he asked glacing at her bat-like wings... if she could fly, he had a plan.

((Indeed! >DDDD MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA yes they ish wings. >3 Hmmm I dunno if Sirens can fly or not... ^^; whatever you say, since your the mentor XDD *hee hee shuffling off responsibility sorry it took so long to respond. My computer died for a minute there...))

"I use them in water all the time, but I've never tried flying with them!" she said looking positively alarmed, wrenching the now dead hand off her waist and flinging it away. "Why?"

"If you fly you'll be out of reach..." he said, still thinking about it. It would be unethical to put a student in danger. But it was the only way to... -he chopped some more of the at the wrist as the popped out of the ground closer to them.

"If you take my spear, you can get the main creature, and if you fly the hands wont be able to touch you, I'll distract it."

((I take it that's a yes XDDDD I'll make it so that she can glide with them rather than actually fly. That seems more like her.. So she'll get a running jump))

"R-right" Adonia gulped taking the spear. "Whatever you say Eos. I-I don't think I can really fly" she said moving her scaly wings experimentally, "but I think I could glide if I get a good running start." she said running back a ways. "Lemme know when you're ready!"

((Ffff, I don't know where I'm going with this.. can I describe a fight scene? no, can we pick this up tomorrow, I have a date with the sandman (going to sleep XD) ))

"Go," he said and waited a second before he heard her foot steps to start running toward the monsterous white blob. Eos reached down and took out as many hands as he could, to give Adonia a better start, and to make sure he didn't trip on them.

The big grey-white blob started to roll back, and for a second her tought it was retreating and was going to stop Adonia, but then he realized it was shooting a red-orange fir-ball fron it's large gaping mouth. Oh SHiii he had time to think to himself before his arm got very hot. The smell of human flesh burning stung his nose, and he winced, and made a choking sound in the back of his throat.

The spear peirced the creatures head a few seconds before Eos hit it in the ... stomach with his Xithos. Adonia tumbled out of the air, but landed on her back, ontop of the sheild.

Eos clutched his arm as close to himself as he could and slowly toward her, not wanting to agravate the skin anymore than it was.

"You ok?" he asked.

((felt like using big words and be mean to my character and stuff =3= he's sooo articulate.))

Adonia rolled over onto her knees, wincing from a sharp pain in the ribs on her back where she had fallen on the hard shield. "I think so" she grimaced rubbing the spot. "I'll be a bit bruised, but I think I'm ok" her eyes grew wide as she spotted his burned arm. "Oh my word, Eos! Your arm!" she said rushing to him ignoring the persisting pain in her back, trying to see the damage.

((I think he's adorable XDDD... but Adonia's still scared of him when he's angry XDDD Awesome fight sequence btw *clapping* ))

Eos' arm was starting to throb, it was not pleasant. But he brushed off Adonia.

"I'm fine," he lied. But winced. "I think I should probably get to the infirmary though," he admitted.

Adonia gave him a stern look, forgetting for a moment that Eos was a male and mentor of whom she was somewhat afraid of after his angry words before, and grasped his wrist,o pulling his arm into view.

"You are not" she scolded observing his arm. "You need something to cool this so it doesn't swell too badly, until we can get you to Iva." she said summoning water from her skirt to encase the burns. "Don't tart trying to be all-" she stopped mid-sentence, clapping a hand over her mouth in horror. She couldn't believe she had spoken to a mentor like that.

"I-I'm sorry s-sir" she stammered looking down guiltily. "I-I didn't mean-"

[Eos]

Eos wimpered as Adonia grabbed his arm. Ffff, it hurt. But he wasn't going to show it. At was almost worth it to see the look at her face when she realized she was scolding a mentor. He almost laughed, but instead rolled his eyes.

"I haven't even started teaching yet, save it." He said as he pulled away and went to retrieve his weapons.

Adonia heard the whimper but made no comment. She couldn't help but be a miffed though at his attitude towards her attempt to help. "Honestly... they way you men behave" she grumbled rolling her eyes. "You all try to be so macho about everything." she muttered mutinously, concentrating on maintaining the water sleeve on his arm as he walked over to the dead creature to retrieve his weapons.

[Eos]

He walked back to Adonia as she grumbled about men ((rainbow ponies? C: )) he let her grumble, there was no point in telling her anything contrary.

Eos looked aboth ways down the hall... and was pretty sure he came from the right?

"Uh, Adonia, any idea how you got here?" he asked.

((Fff, he's a manly man, not macho thank you very much. XD Ignore me))

Adonia shrugged moodily. "No idea" she snapped, taking the water off his arm and moving it through the air to cool it before putting it back around his burns. She was still mildly annoyed and thus a bit snappier than usual.

((pfffff pretty maaaanly meeeen -brickedbeforeIcanburstintosong-XD Hee hee it really funny that I think he's so pretty... I'm not usually partial to blonds.... must be the green eyes ;w;))

He let out a sigh, that somehow sounded like a growl. Now that the fight was over, and the endophines were done coursing through his blood, he was starting to feel everything a little bit more.

"I'm pretty sure we should go that way," he said pointing to where he thought he had some from.

((hee hee... well I think we all create characters to be what we wish we were or what we wish we had.... I know I do ^^; hee hee also, feel free to bring in more monsters if you desire, or they can continue on and just talk if you like as well ;3 ))

She winced a bit at his growling sigh. "W-well, I'll just follow you then." she said, stepping aside with a bow to let him pass. She was rarely so moody, but the combined frustration with the man and her own rattled nerves from being attacked in a dark, unfamiliar place were making her jumpy.

((I don't think he could handle more monsters at the moment... XD but... very tempting. Eos: D: whyyyy? Me: well he is all smoldery and hot, but I don't really like blondes either, green eyes and brown hair and blue eyes and black hair are niiiice combinations =3=))

He sighed again, this time less agravated. When he looked into her eyes he realized she was both afraid of and worried for him.

"Sorry, thanks though, you are deffinatly getting extra credit for this," he told her matter-of-fact as he walked throught the hall and she followed.

As they walked he saw some grey-ish blobs on the ground, curious, they were small and not very intimidating. His arm was starting to feel better too, it still stung a bit, but was bearable.

The blobs started maving and he saw that they were pigeons... oh well, ok. He thought, but then the very non-intimidating pigeons opened their beaks to reveal razor sharp teeth. What the fff- this really was not his day. There were seven or eight of the strange birds and they looked pissed.

"Deffinetly getting extra credit."

Adonia grinned reluctantly. "Thank you.... I very much appreciate it.. and thank you for saving me..." she said looking very sheepish.

At the sight of the rather feral pigeons Adonia let out a slight squeak, clapping her hands over her mouth hoping not to startle them.

"Ooooooh shoot" she groaned.
