Eos had not been treating his spear well lately... and leaving it in the Dane, stepping back, and pulling out his xithos was only the latest in a long list of things the dory had been through.

He rubbed the side of his jaw the giant had hit, that was going to bruise. And with any luck, Jack will make it hurt more tomorrow. He thought sarcastically to himself.
