Eri cursed herself mentally. Here she was sitting here and making the other girl so uncomfortable over her-.... She sighed and sat up. "Look... In all fairness I should tell you... You are my roommate...and you'll be around me a lot... so... yeah... but..." she gave Seti a slightly pleading look. "Just promise me you won't tell anyone else?"

"I promise," Seti said and sat up so she could look into Eri's face.

Eri sighed and pulled off the glove on her right hand, holding it up for Seti to see. "Looks normal right?" she said flatly pulling the glove back over her hand carefully.

She then plucked a small flower from the ground, holding it up from Seti to see. "Watch..."And with that, the flower in her hand began to wither until it was nothing more than a shriveled bit of chaff. "luckily I can control it for the most part... but who knows what would happen if I lost my temper...... "

Seti stared at the flower in surprise. She opened her mouth to say something, then closed it, thinking better of it.

Eri shifted a bit, looking uneasy. She flinched a bit as the hand holding the flower began to twitch ever so slightly, breaking the now-brittle stem in half.

"What were you going to say?" she asked crushing the remains of the flower in her hand and letting the dust float away in the breeze. "Don't worry about hurting my feelings.. It can't be anything I haven't already thought myself..." she said with a grim smile. "Ask or say anything you like about it..."

"Nothing. It's just... what an ability," she said still staring at Eri's hands. Cosette didn't even have one. Weren't that gods supposed to give the human's they sponsored something like that? To make things a little more fair. Seeing as how everyone else was magic....

"It scares you though doesn't it?" she asked gently.

((Yeah... I never came up with one for her =3= XDDDDD))

Eri suppressed a shudder, squaring her shoulders. Phrixos would make fun of her if she feared her own power, so she would refuse to let her fear show.

"I-.... I certainly am not fond of it." she finally muttered, looking at her twitching hand with distaste. "Oni thinks it might be the reason why I'm always so... hyper and possibly why I lose my temper so easily..." she said with a sheepish half-smile.

Seti started to chuckle.

"I think that might just be you Eri," she let her know but smiled at the girl. "But that's an interesting theory..."

Eri grinned. "I'm sure a good amount of it is just my personality," she said with a laugh. "However..."

She held up her hand, which was still jittering somewhat violently. "See that?" she said looking at her hand with annoyance. "This is what happens whenever I use this power. I can't take energy from anything through the air, but I can take it out of the ground and through any object that connects me to whatever I'm draining. We think I might be subconsciously draining energy from my environment all the time... because whenever I do this.." she then summoned up a jet of flame in her jittering hand that pulsated violently for a moment before dieing down to a calm flicker. As the flame died, her hand stopped shaking.

"I can't drain objects with direct contact without it causing me pain... thus the reason I wear the gloves all the time. Just in case I accidentally start draining things..." she smiled nervously.

((looooaaaaamyyyyyy *drooool* ))
