"I don't know, probably has other stuff to do than hang around here until a Sirten hurts herself. But until then you've got some quality time with your own red-headed ruffian," he gave a big shiny grin.

"Ooooof course you do" she replied with a sigh.

She stiffened at his last words. "W-while I appreciate your generosity, I-I'm perfectly capable of waiting by myself you know," she stammered. "What, afraid I'll fall off the bed?" she finished with a sarcastic look aimed only slightly off target over his left shoulder.

((Pffff I shall have to look her up if there's a picture anywhere))

Eos walked into the infirmary looking for one of his leather gloves, he didn't think they were here, but he had already looked everywhere and decided to try to look in a grid pattern.

But as he got closer he heard Adonia saying something loudly in a not too happy tone. He walked in to see her very close to a large boy with brown-red hair and blue tattoo's all over.

"Adonia, is he bothering you?"

"I'd be a madman not to! See it as a compliment, you're a very pretty lady, although I did get the message, so stop worrying." His turn to sigh, ah well, there were a lot of other pretty girls out there with perfectly kissable lips.

"Well if you really want I'll leave you, but I don't know how long Iva will ta- woah!" he jumped at the sound of the other man's voice, the new mentor? He looked back at the pretty lady, waiting for her answer.

Adonia jumped at the sound of another man's voice. Why am I always surrounded by men? she thought frantically before recognizing the voice as that of the new mentor Eos .

Having been refraining from physically straining herself for a while now, her vision was slowly coming back. Seeing Ruairi looking back at her in what almost looked like a pleading face, she paused a moment. He was obnoxious and a overly-forward brat, but she didn't want him to get into trouble with a mentor on her behalf.

"No" she finally responded not looking away from Ruairi. "In, fact, I never would have found my way here without his help." she said evenly but politely.

[Eos]

"Ok," Eos said and shrugged. Girls were weird, he didn't pretend to understand them.

"I'm Eos, sorry about that, but Adonia didn't sound happy..." he tried to introduce himself to the student.

Iva walked back into the main building after collecting herbs from her garden. Those silly warriors kept on getting themselves hurt, she was going to need much more of the herbs and salves. As she turned the corner, there was Padraig at the door. She sighed, Ruairi had hurt himself...again; the boy was practically a permanent resident in the infirmary. Quickly she headed towards the door to find Ruairi, a siren whom she had never seen before, and the looks of a new mentor. Iva walked over to the siren who was sitting on one of the many tables around the room.

"Um...hello? I do not believe I have met you before. I am Iva, the witch doctor and may I ask your name?" Iva stated, she carefully looked over her cuts. She then looked to Ruairi and gave a nod as a hello to the boy.

Adonia sighed to herself, relieved that Eos had not inquired further.

Adonia looked up in surprise and a feeling of relief flooded through her at the sound of another woman.

"No.... we haven't" she said looking at the woman examining her cuts. Such strange attire the siren thought to herself. "I am Adonia, a fourth year siren of Hera." she said wincing as the cut on her cheek stung a bit.

"You must be Iva?" she asked curiously.

Iva offered her a small smile, she also notice Adonia eyeing her attire. "Yes I am Iva, an Amazon who was once sponsored by Artemis. In case you were curious about my clothing." She studied the girl's cuts once more, then turned around to one of her other tables with scattered leaves, herbs, bandages, salves, and etc.

From over her shoulder she asked, "Now Adonia how did you get these cuts?" Iva looked about her table for a simple aloe salve for the siren's cuts.

Adonia listened with interest to the Amazon's words, blushing in embarrassment at her question.

"Er.... well the truth is, I well..... I was training with my whip... and I kept hitting myself." she admitted sheepishly, wondering vaguely why the men were still here.

"Ah that would explain why the cuts look so much like a whips." Iva found the yunnan paiyao and quickly turned around. She walked over to Adonia once more and set the small jar onto the table. Iva opened the jar and swiped up some of the formula onto her finger. "Now this might sting little but it will quicken the healing rate, and prevent scarring." She then rubbed some of the formula onto the girl's cheek, and then to her other cuts; after she finished Iva paused for a moment. "Now were you training by yourself? Is there anything else I can help you with? Any other cuts or injuries I should know about?" Iva asked eyeing the siren carefully, hoping Adonia would tell her if anything else was wrong.

Adonia bit her lip so as not to yelp or move while Iva tended to her injuries.

"Yes, I was alone." she said, her jaw twitching as she fought a furious urge to scratch at the newly salve-covered, itching cut. "I just got careless because.... because I can't sleep at night." she admitted looking a bit shamefaced.

"You see, back home I was nocturnal.... and no matter what I do, I can't seem to sleep through an entire night."

Iva looked at Adonia, she noticed with the expression on her face she was trying hard not to scratch her face. "Difficulty sleeping, but not insomnia. Now if you like, I can give you this root to help you fall asleep faster, keep you asleep for longer, and give you better nights rest. But its only if you wish?" She offered the girl as she turned away to rummage through cupboards for the valerian root.

"I'll try it" Adonia said cautiously. "I do have many nights where I don't sleep at all though... does that make any difference?" she asked trying to see what the amazon was searching for.

"Nope doesn't make a difference at all. Insomnia, in case you didn't know, is where you you don't have the ability to sleep. The valerian root helps with sleeping difficulties and insomnia." Iva told the girl reassuringly. Glad she had found it in the cupboard under one of the tables. Standing up to quickly Iva banged her head on the table, she rubbed her head. "Here we go I found it." Iva said as she presented the root to the siren, completely ignoring her the pain in her head.


((darn you Iva! why do you have to be such a pain in the ass....I have to look up all the herbs and medicines she uses XD))

"I definitely get that on occasion." Adonia mumbled. "Last night I didn't sleep a wi-" she jumped as the Amazon smacked the back of her head. "Goodness are you all right?" she asked, eyes wide.

((I was wondering about that XD Yeeeah I imagine that is a bit of a pain ^^)

Iva smiled reassuringly over the pain. "Yes I'm alright. Students come before myself, but its only a little bump I'll live." She paused for moment before continuing. "Now with this root, you eat it. I would recommend drying it but be warned it has a nasty odor when dried...so I also recommend taking it with something else to distract from the smell." Iva looked about the infirmary once more. "On second thought I'm going to give you hungarian chamomile seeds instead."

She turned back around and put the valerian root back where she found it; then looked for a jar of the chamomile seeds.

Adonia wrinkled her nose at the thought of a eating a smelly root.

"Hungry chameleon seeds?" Adonia asked looking quite confused as the Amazon began to root through cabinets again.

((I'll bet! X3 Sounds interesting! You'll have to excuse Adonia, she's a bit slow on the uptake XDD))

Iva couldn't help but to break out into a smile. She had found the jar of seeds and grabbed a small pouch to put some in to give to Adonia. "No no, not hungry chameleon seeds. Hungarian, as in the European country which is the same country in which Greece is found and chamomile is a herb. Hungarian chamomile herb is also specifically for sleeping difficulties and insomnia." Iva explained as she poured a good chunk of the seeds into the small pouch to give to Adonia.

"I gave you a good amount to last you little while. But seeing as you have never taken this before, I think you should eat one before going to bed tonight and see if it makes any difference. If it doesn't well you know where to find me and I can always travel to get you a different much more potent herb." She finished with a smile.

Adonia took the pouch and examined the seeds curiously, much like a child examining a new toy. "All right, I'll give these a try." she said looking up at Iva with a grin. "Thank you."

Iva watched Adonia as she curiously examined the pouch of seeds. It made smile to see such a child-like expression of awe. "No problem, it's what I am here for." Iva told her with a smile.

"What if they don't work?" she asked. "Should I take another or just come see you?" she said eying the pouch.

"Please come and see me first. That way I could try and find a much stronger one to help you. If I can't find a stronger one, then I'll have you take a few seeds every night." Iva briefly paused before asking Adonia, "Does that sound okay to you?"

"Sure" she said still thinking, a worried look crossing her face. "This won't have any chance of making me fall asleep ..... indefinitely... will it?" she said with a sheepish look.

Iva smiled once more. "No sweetie it won't make you fall asleep indefinitely. You most definitely wake up." She smiled reassuringly.
