Seeing that he was the possible only option for Andrasteia, he gives a step towards her. "I have to agree with her. We're all here for the years we have, so better to make friends then foe....At least that's my opinion on the matter..." He turns to her, holding out a hand in offering. "Well then, care to dance, m'lady?"

"No worries Miss! You an Oni jut have some fun" Eri turned to Phrixos and grinned wickedly. "Oh my apologies O great uptight one" she said bowing low and drawing a highly ornamental though thoroughly deadly dagger from inside one of the sleeves of her kimono gown and standing to her full height of 5'4" (though with her high heels on its more like 5'7" XDD).
"I would be more than happy to, as you say, 'dance outside' with you if it will placate your ego." she said twirling the dagger lightly. "It would hardly be fair since dressed as I am, I am at a disadvantage, but I shouldn't have any trouble with you." she said with a smirk.

Sighing, she took it. "I guess. We just have to enjoy our stay here and let some people alone, right?" Looking sideways at Oni, she smiled. "Yes, let's dance."

Giving a little wave to the rest of the group, she stepped back towards the floor, taking Oni with her.

Adelphie entered the ballroom, looking around excitedly. There were clusters of people everywhere, as was to be expected, she would just have to see if she could find one with people she knew well. Oh she did so love dance parties! She'd awaited the moment that she might be able to attend one in the Athenaeum for a while now!

Looking around she saw saw something that caught her eye, or someone at least. With almost a visible glint in her eyes she ran toward the cluster of people.

"Oh my Gods, you are so cute!" she exclaimed, stopping in front of the little boy with his head of blonde hair. He looked adorable, so little! Of course, she was only a little taller than him, but still, something about him was adorable, made him look perhaps younger than he was.

"You simply must be a first years!" She grinned, looking at another girl she didn't recognize, with odd eyes. "Don't you think he's adorable?"

Giving a smile in return, he follows her to the dance floor.

He gets into position along with Andrasteia, however still having Eri on his mind, not sure on how her event might go from their little "dance" to something catastrophic, and not even sure if it was against an rules. But of course being the worry wart he is, this was natural for him to be nervous about such things.

He focus back to his dance partner, Andrasteia, now in position, giving a light nod, ready to dance.

She smiled, starting to dance. "So how do you like the Athenaeum so far?" she asked, wondering what was on his mind to make him so quiet all the time. "I know you probably haven't seen much, but still..."

Phrixos laughed softly at their talk of dancing. Typical women. Typical weakness. As if this event was anything more than a charade to get information out of each other. Coming for the dancing? How precious. They might as well just say "Hello - I really don't care about wining the tournament - so I'm going to just lie down and let you win."

Not that Phrixos was complaining. Less people he had to worry about.

He smiled at Eri. "You made your choice wearing that dress - now you have to live with it." he said, pulling his own dagger out of it's sheath, and twirling it between his fingers. "But I suppose I'll have to wait some other time to beat you - so you can't use your rather inappropriate battle attire as an excuse. When I beat you - Everyone will know it is because I possess superior skills." He sheathed the dagger, and turned to the young female who had just run up to him.

"Now, I don't believe I caught either of your names," he said, the cool menace not quite yet gone from his voice. "I am Phrixos, first year warrior to the king of the gods and son of Dion the great nephelae general. Hardly cute. And you are?"

Eri grinned wickedly at the newcomer's comment. She was quite a beauty and seemed fun enough. Turning to Phrixos with a look that plainly reeked of sarcasm said "Oh yes, such an adorable little mouse of a being isn't he? And You're not getting out of this so easily little man" she sniffed. "I won't have you backing out of a fight you started... unless your afraid you'll get owned by a girl?" she said with a mean grin.

Phrixos snorted - "hardly" he replied - "I simply just don't want you to have any excuses once I beat you. We'll have our fight Lampad, just you wait."

"Sheesh, quite the party-goer aren't you?" Adelphie raised an eyebrow, it was strange to hear such cold words come from such a cute little boy.

"But I suppose you must be alright, as you're one of Lord Zeus'." She curtsied briefly. "Adelphie, second year warrior to that same Lord of the Gods and daughter of Mnemosyne and, well, unknown."

"Wait, did you say Dion? Where have I heard that name before?"

Eri flipped her hair defiantly. "Fine then, scardy-cat" she said curtly. "I guess I'll have to find a more worthy male to dance with then." she said turning to the young lady with a smile. "And I don't believe we've met, I'm Eri, first year Lampad and warrior of Hestia! I must say you look stunning this evening."

"Guys, could we not have an all-out war in the ballroom, please? We're supposed to enjoy this, remember?" She put her hands on her hips. Some people just had too short a straw.

"In any case, very pleased to meet you Eri."

Eri caught herself. She was being... what was it Oni liked to say... Improper. She cleared her throat daintily and bowing. "You're quite right." she said with a smile. "We should behave ourselves and leave our 'little issues'" she said with a sneering glance at Phrixos, "aside for the evening. My apologies miss." she said hoping she was remembering those long ago etiquette lessons correctly.

Phrixos inwardly rolled his eyes. There was no use in explaining to these females that parties were merely ways of getting information from the weak minded.

He studied the second girl - not the obnoxious lampad more carefully. Adelphie. She was one of his Lord's? And the daughter of the high priestess. She was probably a powerful ally to have - he decided. And besides. She was rather pretty... For a female. He couldn't quite place her race - but the night was still young - and he could figure it out eventually.

"Dion," he said, his voice nearly full of reverence, "is one of our lords higher ranking Nephelae - a fierce warrior and a renown general. It's not surprising you've heard of him." He sighed. "At any rate it is nice to meet another of our Lord's warriors. I know he only selects the best - yourself included."

He had decided to ignore Eri completely... She was beneath his notice..

Adelphie nodded as he told her about his dad. "Hm, quite the footprints to step in then, Phrixos," she tried out the sound of his name, it wasn't the oddest name she'd ever heard, and it had a nice ring to it.

"Why thank you, he does indeed pick quite carefully, so I must assume your father must have done a good job with you." Another curtsy to show respect.

Turning to Eri, Adelphie decided she liked the girl, she was fun, if not a bit too energetic, but lively at least. "Apologies accepted Eri, so you've been trying to get this chap to dance, I assume?"

Eri giggled lightly "Actually, the dance we were referring to was the kind best performed on a field of battle" she said eyes dancing. "However, would love to find a dance partner" she said looking hopeful. "Dance and sword-work were my only true talents back home" she admitted, her smile faltering a bit.

Phrixos continued ignoring Eri. "I can only hope to match my father's achievements. But I know I shall out-do my other siblings." He paused. "And unfortunately, the only sort of dancing my father ever bothered to teach me was the kind that involves blades." He shrugged. "I never quite saw the point, so I never took it upon myself to learn either."

Eri's ear perked up as he talked about his siblings. He had siblings? Sibling he wanted to surpass? That might explain some of his... prickly personality.... She knew he would probably ignore her, but decided to try and smooth things over at least a little bit with the boy.

"That's a shame." she said with an attempt at a pleasant smile. "I imagine you would be quite the dancer."

Phrixos sighed inwardly. He didn't want to humor the rude little lampad - but he also didn't want to look too bad in front of Adelphie. "I find that hard to believe - but you're welcome to your opinion. Regardless I shall not be asking anyone to dance this night, so you'd best go chase down some other helpless male."

Eri bit her tongue so as not to say something nasty and cutting back to the rude child, and instead replied quite sweetly. "I had not intended to ask in the first place. I was merely making an observation. Besides," she said as innocently as possible, rearranging the large sleeves of her gown. "I'm sure there are plenty of pretty boys to chase here."

She shrugged. "I'm a second year, so I have been here for one year. But it's surprising how much there is, and how much I'm finding out all the time." Then she glanced over at the others. "I wonder if your sister is done fighting with that little nephelae yet..."

Zephyra came running into the ballroom....again. She was beginning to make a habit of this. The now fifth year came running in while still tying her braid and with her skirt tucked into the nook of her one arm so she wouldn't trip. Stopping for a brief moment to just finish braiding her hair, Zephyra found a moment to scan the room for familiar faces. Her eyes lit up, she saw the back of Andrasteia's hair. Andrasteia, who she hadn't spoken to for a while, so Zeph immediately walked up to her and tapped her shoulder. She a huge smile plastered onto her face.

She glanced over her shoulder curiously before abruptly releasing Oni and throwing her arms around her friend. Then she stood back, ducking her head apologetically. "Sorry about that. Oni, this is my friend Zephyra, a fifth year this year. Zeph, this is Oni, one of the new first years. "

Zephyra giggled and hugged Andrasteia back. She smiled and made a small curtsy to the boy Oni. "Its lovely to meet you." Zeph looked back at Andrasteia and smiled brightly. "I haven't spoken to you in ages! How are you, what have you been up to?" Zephyra energetically asked.
