Fire and Ice

Adonia was lounging lazily in a tree along one of the multiple paths in the garden, fiddling with a small handful of water from her skirt. She had finished all her homework and her training without incident and had decided to take a walk, eventually tiring of her aimless wanderings, she climbed up to further refine her control on water.

She had been trying for a good forty minute to create ice like Jack could, but the most she ever managed was a semi-solid, glass-like texture, like what she used when she walked or sat on the water's surface.

"Shoot..." she muttered, shifting the water once again between her hands. "Why can't I make it become actual ice? I can make a water lantern with fire and water but no-" she stopped mid-sentence and thought for a moment. "I wonder if it has something to do with me having some level of fire magic." she mused, twirling the water through her fingers absentmindedly.
