*facepalm* weeeeeell... THIS isnt surprising at all.

Eos walked into the infirmary and stood there waiting for Adonia to catch up. Iva wasn't in, again. But he didn't expect her to be. The amazon was usually out collecting plants for medical uses. She was only in the infirmary the first time he visited. Adonia had become both his! Adopted little 'sister' and 'nurse' the idea made him chuckle. Because in a weird way they needed eachother. She needed him to help her out of the dungeon alive and he needed her to keep him alive after they made it out of said dungeon.

Adonia marched into the infirmary after Eos sighing and making her way straight to the cabinet of supplies. "Well you know the drill Eos, go sit down while I get some stuff to clean that thing up."

[Eos]

He started chuckling again because he did, 'know the drill'. He sat down on the nearest cot and swung his legs in a childish manner... he was just short enough that his feet just grazed the floor. "Okie dokie oh wise healer Adonia," he said as he took off his shirt so she could get to his infected cut.

She gave him an amused skeptical look over her shoulder as she finished gathering up the materials. "I don't know about the wise bit" she giggled, bringing everything over to the table by his cot.

"Enjoying yourself?" she said with a cocky grin, pouring some disinfectant on a cloth and watching him swing his feet. "Unfortunately, this'll sting a little...." she said indicating the cloth. "Sorry in advance.."

"I know..." he said glaring at the cloth as if it was evil and wincing when Addi pressed it to his skin. "But life is pain and you have to get used to it," he murmured something that had been drilled into his head as a child.and made his nonchalant face.

Addi cleaned out the small wound before gently smacking the back of his head with the cloth. "Don't be so depressing Eos." she grinned, turning to grab search through her things for a small jar of ointment which she dabbed on the cut. "To keep it from getting any worse." she said before he could ask, grabbing a roll of bandages.

"I'm not I'm being realistic," he grumbled. Making a face when Addi hit him in the head with the disinfecting cloth. But chuckled again still a little slaphappy from his fever. "Thank you Adonis," he said sweetly, with a grin, using a voice that was reserved for few people. Athena being one of them and the rest being long dead.

Addi was surprised by the change in his tone, and reached up to feel his forehead again. "I think you're a little bit mixed up there, Eos" she giggled. "I'm Addi, remember?" she teased, picking up a bottle of some medicinal concoction and a spoon, still trying to figure out what could have prompted his change in tone.

"You're still a bit feverish, soooo..." She poured out a spoonful and held it out. "You're gonna need to take this."

crap. I actually hate Adonis from greek myth... stupid pretty boy... *grumbles something spartanish* but, hell, he's SOOOOO becoming backstory now XD it can be someone else with the same name... hmmm Adonis...

Eos blushed not believing his fever was that bad but seeing as he was hallucinating and having flashbacks... Daedonysus being long gone.... he realized how much he missed the man who before had gelded the roll of healer and caretaker to him. Addi's long silver/white hair was the only thing similar about the two... and their names. At least the name he called Dae sometimes to make fun of the fact that he refused to cut his long pretty hair, Adonis.

He stared at the liquid held in the spoon, it looked harmless enough, but he knew the stuff would probably knock him out. Great, he thought, maybe I can sleep through this dreaded month. Meaning march.

Addi cocked her head as he turned redder. His fever wasn't that bad... "Are you all right?" she said cautiously, lowering the spoon for a moment to look at his face more closely. "Is something wrong?"

[Eos]

Addi got closer and his vision blurred and he blinked. "I'm just... being sentimental... I guess," he said still flustered.his face double red from fever and embarassament from calling Addi the wrong name. And without inhibitions giving to him by a clear mind he said, "I miss Daedonysus," sadly.

Addi cocked her head and sett the spoon down gently, propping it up so as not to spill any of the medication. She hesitated a moment before hopping up to sit next to him taking the roll of bandages once more and beginning to dress the wound on his stomach. "Who's Daedonysus?" she asked cocking her head curiously. "A friend of yours?"

[Eos]

"Dae was better than a friend..." he said and chuckled a little. "I know it sounds weird but he was like... the mother I never had," he said and chuckled some more. Dae wouldn't have even minded that comeing from Eos. He would have rolled his eyes and smiled. The cunning and kind and mellow parts of Eos personality was from Dae. He rubbed his arm against his cheek. Translucent memories fells out of his eyes, and he wiped them away. As the siren bandaged his middle. "Thank you Addi," he repeated correctly this time, but still using a sweeter tone than usual, he put emphasis on her name.

Addi smiled up at him. "He sounds like a wonderful person" she said quietly as she finished bandaging his torso."....You're welcome, Eos" she said gently, still slightly taken aback by the tone. She had never heard him talk that way.

Smiling just a bit mischievously, she picked up his shirt and held it out to him saying. "You should get this back on. I don't want you getting chills.... and then you need to take your medicine" she said cheekily, tapping his nose.

"Hmm... kay." he said, listening to her for once and putting his shirt back on. Then waited for his medicine. He realized just how cold he felt when she said that... on the outside he had goosebumps, but his insides felt far too warm.

((FFFFF I made him cry... well he is acting like a little boy from the fever and...=3= I hope your giving him antibiotics.. or does the Athenaeum have those... ))

Addi hopped down from the cot, moving back to the table that held her supplies. She picked up the spoon of medicine and came back to stand in front of Eos. "Now this probably won't taste all that great, but it'll help lower your fever and fight the infection." she said holding it up to him.

((Um... do they?.... No clue!!! XD I guess they do now 8B ))

Eos quickly drink the spoonful of liquid, it tasted bitter and.. ick. He stuck his tongue out, and slouched, then lay on the cot curled up, trying to stay warm. It didn't work and he started shivering.

Adonia's eyes widened as he began shivering. She rushed over to a cabinet, pulling out a few blankets. "Bloody hell, Eos" she muttered coming over to tuck the blankets around him. "You see what happens when you don't listen to me?"

"Thanks Addi..." he said again, clutching at the blankets. "I'll be fine, this isn't the worst infection I've had." The worst was probably when he was a boy and his back got infected after a bad punishment, but Dae was there to take care of him. And when he got the scar on his eye, that fever was pretty bad too. But Arterim was there to take care of him that time. He shivered again, and again thought about spending March unconscious and/or feverish. It would be better than... the memories. He ignored her second comment. Figuring he looked bad enough to get away with it, or maybe he WAS bad enough to get away with it. He was hallucinating, but than again he knew he was as the wall started to move like the ocean.

Addi looked at his face closely, noting the glassy look her had. "Eos? You still with me?" she said feeling his forehead again, and grabbing a cloth to soak in cold water for him.

[Eos]

"Not really," he said truthfully. "I'm hallucinating," he said as the wall stopped moving like water and started to swirl in hypnotic circles. He grabbed Addi's wrist and held it close to his face. Holding on as if he was a little scared. The innocent child-like voice creeping back into his voice. "I don't like it Addi."

Addi stopped in her tracks, looking down at his face in bemusement. He sounded... like a frightened child as he lay there, gripping her wrist. She carefully pulled a nearby chair closer, sitting by him and stroking his hair away from his face.

"Its all right Eos. I'm not leaving. I'll stay right here." she summoned a bit of water from the sink to soak the cloth, laying it across his forehead carefully, the hand he was clinging to still gently stroking his hair. "Now you rest like a good big brother. You're going to be fine."

He trusted Addi enough to close his eyes as he lay there. Her wrist still in his hand, he wasn't planning on letting go anytime soon. If he had her to anchor him to reality then maybe it wouldn't be so bad. The dreams, the memories, the hallucinations. He didn't react to much good if it effected his mind, whether it was drugs, alcohol, or a fever.

((Pffft aww such a cute mental image!! Hmm... now would be a good time to ask him anything you were curious about Addi... just sayin'... juuust sayin'.))
