Addi sat quite still, Eos' hand still clutching her wrist as she stroked his hair, and watched as he closed his eyes. She could see he was in pain, and she was certain it wasn't just from the fever.

She bit her lip for a moment in hesitation, reluctant to push him when he was so... vulnerable. "Eos.... What's wrong?" she asked gently, watching his face carefully. "Its not just your fever is it?"

"Being immortal sucks," he said simply and snuggled his face into her wrist. In a century or a few Addi would be gone too and he would miss her. Like he missed all the people he loved. He had accumulated a lot of love and death over the years. Sure, he had happiness, but there was always a 'but'. Sure he was healed, but there were always the scars. And he had learned to live with it, but it still hurt if he thought about it. Like a forgotten splinter. He barely knew it was there unless he looked for it, but it was there, right under the skin, waiting to be pulled out.

((*shrugs* he's a closed person, which is why I like to write vulnerable parts. C: Trolololo))

Addi cooled the wet cloth once more before moving his long bangs aside and gently draping it across his forehead. "And why's that, big brother?" she asked soothingly, one-handedly tucking the blankets around him more securely.

Truthfully, she already knew part of what he meant, having discussed her own fears of immortality with him once before, though she had neglected to mention her intense fear of death.

"Because... normal people die," he said sadly, without opening his eyes.

Addi gulped slightly. "Yes... yes we do." she said blankly. "Some sooner than others, but yes... eventually..."

"Hmm... I don't have to worry about it. I have a spot in hell on reserved," he said with a sadistic grin, and snicker.

Addi looked at him strangely. That weird grin did not bode well with her. "What or where, exactly, is 'Hell'." she asked cautiously, still watching his face.

[Eos]

He started snickering again. He had forgotten about the fact that Addi didn't know much about culture.

"A place you go after you die," he said simply not wanting to go into detail for poor Addi. He didn't want to scar her for life. He didn't want to think about that at the moment anyway. He pulled the cloth off his face for a second and sat up, holding the blanket around him because he was still cold. But his face was still shaded pink-ish with fever.

"I might have a bible you could read sometime... it's a book." he said before she could ask.

"A book?" she asked, surprised by his getting up so suddenly, tucking the blankets around him as he sat there. "I do like books now that I can actually read them. What kind of book?" she asked, cocking her head.

[Eos]

Eos pulled the blankets up and over his head, but left his face sticking out so he could breathe. He hated not being able to breathe.

"Hmm it's... a big book. And some parts are if-y but most parts are true.. I'd read it with you if you wanted," he said and closed his eyes again, still sitting up though. He didn't want Addi reading the bible alone. It wasn't... well for her it might be, a little too much.

He wondered if he could make it to his own room... and hide from March in there.

Addi giggled as he messed with his blankets. He was so silly sometimes when he had meds in him. "That would be helpful" she said smiling. "I do still have some trouble with reading..." she said grinning. "But that's good if its a big book! It'll keep me busy for a while!"

[Eos]

"Probably, it is b..." he stopped and lay back down curled up with the blankets over his mouth but not his nose. "Addi..." he started to say something, but just trailed off. His fever was getting worse.

((bum bum bum... *shrugs* uhm what DID she give him?))

"E-Eos?" she asked with a slight note of panic; her smile fading and her jaw dropping in surprise as she jumped up to feel his head. It was so hot she was tempted to take the blankets away and put him in cold water.

((A fever reducer..../antibiotic type thing yeeeaaaaah something like that XD))

"Mmm," he grumbled and closed his eyes tight. If he could just sleep it off he'd be fine. "I'm... alright," he said his voice quite. How was it possible to feel like you were freezing and on fire at the same time?

"No you're not, Eos" she said firmly, feeling his head again and trying to see his face. "Open your eyes Eos, I need to get a look at them." she said gently taking his face in her hands so he couldn't look away.

[Eos]

"No..." he said rather childlike, keeping his eyes shut tight.

Addi rolled her eyes. "Oh good0- Eos, open those eyes right now!" she said giving on cheek a light smack. "Now open them or so help me, I'll use your own tears and water magic to force them open. I need to see." she said still holding his face in place.

[Eos]

"You... wouldn't," he called her bluff. Or at least what he was pretty sure was a bluff.

"Oh wouldn't I?" she scoffed, plopping onto the side of the cot, still holding his face hostage in her hands. "Last chance, Eos."

[Eos]

"No," he said again. Not really caring if she did. But still she wouldn't, she was... Addi.

Adonia pouted at him. He knew her too well... SHe wasn't the type to do that sort of thing.... but she did need to see his eyes... or at least one of them... Sooooo

"Fine... have it your way.." she said summoning up her magic and forcing his left eye open. "There.." she said trying to see his eyes more clearly.

[Eos]

"Owie," he grumbled and opened his other eye. "You could have at least opened the bad one..." he murmured innocently, and rubbed his right eye.

Addi didn't answer right away. She was too busy gawking at his eyes, which were glazed over; his pupils highly dilated. "E-Eos?... Can you see me?" she asked nervously.

[Eos]

Eos blinked a few times and his pupils went back to almost normal size, but his eyes were still pretty glazed. "Yep," he said, as he focused on a blurry Addi. Then he closed his right eye and he could see her pretty well.

Addi frowned as his pupils returned to a more normal size, but remained glazed and distant. "How many fingers am I holding up? she said holding up four and watching his eyes carefully.
