"Well, it looks like you cans till see, but you're far too warm for it to be healthy... I may have to get you into some cool water..." she said hesitantly.

"I'll be fine," he said. He hated cold water, not that he couldn't stand it because well that was the thing... it was something the Spartans did. They dropped you in ice water and watched how long you could last.

((Ohhh those Spartans... actually pretty sure this is a Native American thing...))

She gave him the most annoyed, skeptical look she could manage before replying. "Your fever is high enough to were I'm concerned it may get to be too much for your brain.... I have to cool you down somehow..."

"I'll be fine," he repeated. Sitting up and pushing the blankets off himself.

Adonia sighed moodily, placing a hand on his forehead and pushing him backwards back onto his pillow. "Oh no. You're not going anywhere like that. Look, I'll just magic some water over here and it won't even be that cold. Just enough to cool you down so you don't end up with brain damage if it gets too high..."

"I really will be fine... I've never tested my reactions to heat. But I have a higher tolerance for cold than humans so..." but once he got the words out he shivered.

"That does it" she said moodily. "Your getting cool water Eos... now you can either sit in a tub of it, or I can just force you by bringing water over her from the sink... your choice.." she said with a no-nonsense air, crossing her arms.

[Eos]

He just sat there. There was no way he was getting into freezing water willingly. Not if hell froze over, thawed out, and froze again.

"Well... what's it gonna be you big baby?" she said coolly.

[Eos]

"Do what you want Addi. You can't get me in that water," he said. And it was the closest thing to threatening he would ever use in his tone while talking to Adonia.

"Fine." she said simply, using her magic to draw cool water from one of the sinks and encasing him in it up to his neck. "No fidgeting or so help me, I'll put you up in the air." she said mutinously, glaring at him.

Eos froze and the water encased his body. Part of him had thought Addi was bluffing, again, but again she wasn't. His eyes closed tight and he took a deep breath, just in case.

Adonia's look softened as he stayed still. "Good. Thank you.." she said gently, stroking his hair again. "I'm sorry Eos, but I had to... You're always so stubborn about the silliest things with me..."

[Eos]

"They're not silly things," he said a little pained. Adonia had a gift to poke the wounds that hurt the most, to bring up his worst memories.

Addi stiffened. She could tell she had hurt him again. "Well... how am I supposed to know that?... You won't tell me anything except when you're completely out of it.... Help me to understand..." she said quietly, mentally cursing herself.

His face got just a little hotter. He didn't was to just tell her 'no'. But... he really didn't... there was too much that...

"Some things bother me..." he said with a tiny shrug, the only kind he could muster. "Everyone... has... stuff like that." He didn't feel like talking anymore. The water barely felt cold anymore.

Adonia bit her lip. "Indeed they do.....Sorry.." she said quietly, "I need to learn to control my curiosity..." she muttered, feeling his forehead once more.

Eos closed his eyes as Addi checked his forehead again. He leaned into her hand a little, feeling bad for shutting her out.

Addi smiled as he leaned into her hand, and felt his head for a fever. "Well... you're fever seems to be going down a bit... in a minute I'll get rid of the water for you all right? Just be patient for a little bit longer.."

[Eos]

"Alright," he said with a sigh. As long as he wouldn't be trapped in the water for much longer.

A few minutes later, Adonia dissolved the water around Eos, drawing what was left away from his skin and clothes and into a nearby sink. "There... Now... you should rest, Eos." she said patting his mop of blond hair affectionately.

Eos lay back down on the cot. Thankful that the water was gone. "Addi... you'll stay here with me, right?" he asked. "Just for a little bit..." he added. Not wanting her to feel like she needed to stay... because that was something she would do, even if she had to leave.

Adonia sat of the side of the cot, pulling one of the blankets around him again gently. "Of course I will" she said with a smile. "I'll stay as long as you like."

"Thank you..." he said and closed his eyes.
