A Divided Room - Daria Tahirah and Septima Severa
There is a huge line down the middle. On the left is my side - and it's bursting with color. Exotic things I've picked up on my trips with my brother, scarves, decorations - everything bright and fanciful. At the foot of the bed are two large trunks stuffed to the brim with clothing (and there still are the other dresses I keep in my brother's room). A large travel bag sits on top of the trunks - ready should my lady call on my brother and I. And underneath the bed - tucked underneath a floorboard is a treasure box. Full of my inheritance from my mother - Egyptian jewelry - stolen away when I was old enough to return to my old home, old enough to deal with the fact that she died. Also inside are other trinkets. Things with very little worth - but they mean the world to me. A scroll from the library of Alexandria. A shiny stone my brother polished for me when I was small. A flag from the first town my brother and I helped in the name of our lady. My treasures.
The right is her side. I have no jurisdiction there.

Re: A Divided Room - Daria Tahirah and Septima Severa
The right side is an almost painful contrast to the bright and full left side of the room. I never saw the point of decorating a room which would come to mean so little anyhow. Even though it is frowned upon to have weapons in your room, I still keep my whip and gladius there, the latter always staying by my bed. I've had a gladius stolen before in my stay at the Athenaeum, and it was damned hard to get my hands on a new one, so it's not leaving my side.
Plus, it might come in handy when my pleasant roommate does loose it from the voices in her head.
I hold very little value to the objects in my room, besides the weapons of course. There is a few dresses in the trunk, simple white chitons for fighting, brighter embroidered gowns as well as matching extravagant pallas can be found in there as well, I've got to keep my heritage somehow. Don't want to go around looking like a stinking Greek. Many jewels are to be found as well, when the time comes I have to present myself as a proper Roman lady after all.
The walls are all bare besides the shelves that are aligned with books. The top one is full of old and filled notebooks -I've been keeping a record of the strange flora and fauna of Haven- and the shelf below holds many treatises and books 'borrowed' from the library. I can't say the librarian frightens me, but she is a vile and unpleasant woman and I prefer to make my trips to the library after closing time. Plus, it's fun to see her wonder where her scrolls have gone.
Besides that there is also a thick wooden desk, always full of scrolls. Some have been written on by me, some are works of other authors or philosophers. Most, however, have something to do with fighting and strategy and even math and physics. There is also a candle which I lights every night for my prayer. I prays in Latin, hoping that Tahirah can't speak it, even though I'm always careful to wait until my dearest roommate's breathing has gotten slow and steady before the prayer.
