Adonia was interrupted because the book she has in hands, gained wings and started to fly softly. Actually all the books that were near Cedric started to fly softly, a cute view if you see it from outside.

Cedric looked at the books and then to Adonia. "Foolish of me but... it doesn't seem so b-" the magic book in front of him hit him and made what appeared to be a small giggle.

Adonia jumped in surprise as the book in her hands spouted wings and began to fly around. She was even more surprised when the magic book in Cedric's hands jumped up and hit him with a gentle thud upon his head.

She couldn't help but giggle. "Not so bad eh?" she said watching the book like a hawk, her hands ready to repel any assault the airborne books might make.

Cedric adjusted his glasses and chuckled lightly "I better reserve the spell quickly... I don't want to be expelled from the library for causing trouble!" he said, trying to grab the flying magic book that flew higher away from him.

"Come here! Please!"

Adonia jumped up onto her chair trying to grab the book, which slipped between her hands over and over again giggling madly. "What's with these books?" she said trying to grasp the slippery book. "I can't quite seem to- woah!" her arms spun wildly as she attempted to right her balance. Once, stable again, she returned to trying to grab the troublesome book. "Wily little thing aren't you?"

Cedric tried to grab the book also, but not over the chair like Adonia. He knew he could lose balance and Sylipha would come. He watched from the corner of his eyes as Adonia almost lost balance and tried to help her "Careful, Miss Adonia!" he whispered, looking again to the books. "These books are mocking us...."

"Mocking us?" she said glancing up at the books as they continued to bob and weave above their heads. "Whatever for?" she said hopping down from the chair and cocking her head.

"I don't know..." Cedric scratched his head, thinking on how he would undo the spell. "I bet this is one of those spells to keep the curious people away from some books.... I wonder how I can undo it." he mumbled.

Adonia looked up at the books sailing over their heads quite happily. "Maybe we could find a counter-spell in the same book?... If we can get a hold of it?.." she said distractedly, searching the flock above for the book he had been reading.

Cedric grabbed one of the books on the table and scrambled through the pages looking for something. "What if..." he mumbled, mindless and shook his head "Nevermind."

Adonia's ears perked up. "what?" she asked curiously, wondering what he could be thinking. "What if what?" she repeated.

Cedric broke his thoughts and looked at Adonia "What if I say the spell backwards? I think I've read it before that in some cases it actually works." he said, adjusting his glasses.

Adonia shot a nervous look up at the books, which were fluttering rather noisily, over their head. "I say try it," she said with a nervous grin. "If those things get any rowdier, we're going to be 'enjoying' Madame Librarian's company."

Cedric quickly nodded and searched on the deeps of his mind for the spell, soon mumbling the words backwards, making it sound quite weird. At first, it happened nothing. Nothing at all, the books were still over their heads.

"Darn, I guess we sh-" Cedric didn't finished his sentence because the book that was laughing and giggling over his head, fell over him, making him feel dizzy.

Adonia squeaked and covered her head as the flock of books rained down from above them. She let out a little gasp as one of the giggling books fell right on Cedric's head. "Cedric! Are you all right?" she whispered. He looked a bit out of it.

Cedric fell over the chair unfortunatly and grabbed his head with his hands, soon adjusting his glasses "Y-yeah, I'm fine..." he said, looking at the pile of books around them "I guess it worked!" he said, his head still hurting and a bruising was sure to come up there.

"Indeed, that does seem to have done the trick," Adonia said, gently taking his arm to steady him as he held his head. "Are you quite sure you're all right?" she said with some concern.

Cedric sat down slowly, rubbing his head lightly "I'm good... My head just hurts a bit... But I'm just glad the books stopped floating! I would be in big trouble..." he said, sweat dropping.

"Well, getting hit by a book it's not pleasant." Cedric said with a sigh "Either way, I learnt a valuable lesson today: no mumbling spells. Ever." he said with a small chuckle.

"Or at least not while in the library where one is not allowed to holler loudly or throw things at the results of their mumbled spells" she said with a grin.

"Maybe next time you should try looking for a description of what the spell does before you start speaking them."

"It was quite stupid, wasn't it? Quite careless...." Cedric said, sighing. "I've been too much distracted actually." he mumbled, looking away as he placed the books on his right place.

"Oh I wouldn't say stupid... perhaps a bit careless, but such things happen sometimes." she looked at him questioningly. "Distracted? Is there something particular that is distracting you?"
