Severa punched him square in the jaw, feeling he fist connect painfully. Painful for him, she didn't know, but it sure was painful for her. She shook her hand, hoping that it had hurt him three times as much as it had her.

"And to the ass comes what he deserves," she snapped at him, spitting on the ground. "Manners is not something they're fond of in Sparta I see."

Leonidus felt the full force of her first on his jaw, and it hurt like a mother to say the least. He rubed his sore jaw and smirked.

"Manners, what are those?"

Leon was being sarcastic, he knows what manners are, he was raised with alot of teaching and scoldings from his mother. Only after the spartan taining camp did his manners leave him.

"Just know that I will hit you some place else if you ever try to use me like that again!" A threat she would very well own up to.

"You just think that just because you're a prince you can do whatever you like, your ego exceeds that of Nero I swear! I shan't be so easy as a Spartan whore!"

Leonidus scowled.

"If you were some spartan whore, i wouldnt cast you a second glance. I like you becasue your strong, smart, and beautiful. But you do have a very bad temper."

Leon cringed as she mentioned hitting him in the nether reigons.

"I'll be sure to remember that," she answered to his whore comment. "In any case, do you always like women who don't want you? If that were the case that you are one doomed man."

She turned away, picking up her sword and sheathing it, it really was getting quite dark now. "In any case we should have been at the evening meal a while ago."

Leonidus smirked and grabbed his sword, putting it away he walked after her. Not bothing to anwser to any of her comments. when she's not trying to kill him, or rip off his balls she's actually a very sweet person to be around as long as she doesnt open her mouth.

"Could you maybe not follow me like a puppy?" She snapped at him. She promptly turned around toward the lake again, hoping he wouldn't follow. He could go eat, she wasn't hungry anyway.

Leonidus sighed and went to the mess hall, and after that he went back to the lake, he had a plate and a drink for Severa. "Oi, Sev." He spotted her and walked over handing her the plate and the drink.

"even if your not hungary, you need to put a little somehting in your body."

It had gotten dark, the light from the moon illuminated them though.
Leon stared up at it, he missed his family and he wondered if his mother was looking at the moon as well.

Severa grudgingly accepted the food, "Thanks, Leo," she managed to say sarcastically, so it wouldn't look like she'd be nice, or even tolerable, for a moment. She was sitting on a rock that rose a big above the water. It was a waning moon casting just enough light to see shapes of things, and little else.

"You do know that if we get caught out after dark Mnemosyne will not be happy, and I'm not sure if I'm up for another cleaning the stables," she smiled, though hoping it was too dark to see. That had been an adventure, she'd even found out a hidden talent. Unwanted talent, but one nevertheless.

"What are you thinking about?"

Leonidus sighed.

"Yes, yes I know..we wont get caught though."

Leo stared at the moon.

"My mom...my family back home, my baby sister. It's been so long since i've seen her she must've grown alot." He smiled when he talked about his family, it's a topic he likes.

[Septima Severa]

"You sound awfully sure about yourself," Severa answered, but there was little malice in her voice.

Severa smiled, "Well, since technically you'll be moved back into time when or if you lose, you won't have to miss her at all."

Leonidus smirked.

"I won't loose, and besides when i go back to visit i fully intend to drag you along and introduce you to my parents."

Leo smiled.
He could picture his mother nad sister playing with her hair and dressing all feminine, and he could picture his father challenging her to a fight since she's a warrior.

[Septima Severa]

"Provided I'm still here, since this is my last year before the Tournament, and provided that I am willing," Severa provided matter-of-factly.

It was odd, thinking of a person with a loving family. Hers was all formalities. Her father was a senator and was always working on a treatise of sorts and her mother was more interested in parties and sleeping around behind her father's back. She had two brothers, both just having joined the legion, and only one of which she'd truly miss.

Much of a family that was. All they were really interested is public eye and ear. Well, besides Stephanus, he was the only one who'd play with her when she was little, besides the slaves. He always let her braid his hair, ignoring the slaves giggling in a corner. But he'd gone off to join the army a year before the Athenaeum, and she'd not seen him since.

Leo smirked.

"Hey...Severa...Let's make a bet...If I win the tournament, you must come to sparta with me and marry me."

Leo smirked, he already knows that he's one of the strongest males, becasue of his early battle training. Leo used that best as a caution measure, making a bet with himself as well, He would win her heart before his time ended and she would marry him out of her own free will.

[Septima Severa]

Severa sighed. "No, Leo. How could I gamble with the future like that? I could be miserable for all eternity, and the Gods know the future is not something to be messed with. So no, I shan't consent to that," she put down her finished plate.

She picked up a piece of bread that had come with the food, picked off a piece and threw it into the water. With a 'plop' sound it was gone in a second, eaten by one of the lake's mysterious inhabitants.

Leonidus sighed.

"How do you know if you'd be miserable, you hardly know me as i hardly know you..we could grow close and you could grow to love me." he smirked.

[Septima Severa]

"That's right, I hardly know you and you hardly know me! You've out of some whim decided you love me and want to marry me! What do you want me to do, jump into your arms and sigh like some... some... Juliet?!" She yelled, thinking back to one of the books she'd read in the library.

"You can forget that, I'm not some romantic lamb in a tragedy," she crossed her arms, peering stubbornly into the dark.

He smirked. "You do know that Juliet died right? she commit suicide becasue she couldn't be with her love."

Leonidus sighed. "Your so stubborn..."

[Septima Severa]

Severa glared at him through the dark. "That is exactly my point, and how long did she actually know her Romeo? For all she knew he could be a drunk and a wife beater. Am I stubborn for not wanting to throw my arms around the first person who tells me I'm pretty?"

"All your life you've probably been given all you wanted, no strings attached. And now there's someone who doesn't give you what you want and, and what? You get the crazy idea that you're in love?"

Leonidus sighed. "Your so studdorn. Although what you say about Romeo is true. You've known me for much much longer. I've kicked you ass in class on more than one occasion." He smirked. (see he's a jerk)

"And I have yours, grand prince," Severa retorted quickly."I seem to remember this one time in swords class where your arrogance didn't do you right," she smiled at the memory, she'd whupped his ass pretty good.

"In any case, I just spurned your advances, oh great Spartan prince, get over it."
