Tarô nodded firmly and looked at Severa. He offered his hand once again but loosened his arm a bit.

The expressionless black eyes of the mask kept staring at her waiting for her next movement.

So, uh, Mnem, we're going to pretend Morph and Mnem stopped dancing already since that was like 3 pages back e3e ))

Morpheus' was standing near the drinks, sipping at his mint tea. Well, that went better than I had thought... I thought for sure I would trip or step on her delicate toes...

He scanned the room through his vicious-looking crimson mask. Many young couples were engaged in dancing and general ball-type things.

Oh, to be young again...
he thought to himself.

Jane shrugged, glancing back inside. "A little. I've never been much of one for parties, though this one's different than I've ever seen before. But I don't really know anyone here yet, so I don't recognise anyone. The masks definitely don't help.

And how about you? Are you having fun?" She tilted her head to the side, wondering if she'd recognise the girl outside of the costume again. Well, it wasn't likely that anyone would recognise her either, due to the wig. It wasn't itchy, but it might get to be after a while.

Calla sighed. "Not entirely. I'd prefer not to be in long skirts. And I don't like crowded rooms that much either. I'd much rather be outside where I can feel the wind."

To put a bit of emphasis on her point, she created a soft breeze around them, smiling as it rustled her blonde curls.

Looking over herself once more in the full length elegant mirror in her room Caoilainn sighed fiddling with the lace on her gloves and dress. It was strange to wear something so glamorous again, but she felt at home within the odd confines of the corset. With one last adjustment to her mask her hands went to the sides of her dress skirt and delicately lifted it so she could move a bit quicker but still have that fluid grace that was drilled into her. She was so late that it had occurred to her that the entire ball could be completely over by now. That would be a sad thing indeed if it was, she was hopping to see her sisters there, and if at all possible finally get to mingle with the others.

Pausing on the steps to the ball room for a moment Lin ((Nickname given by her sisters)) rested a hand on a column as she did a one two of her attire. Satisfied that the distance from her room to the dance had not altered her attire negatively she climbed the few steps and entered the room. The elegance of it all was simply breath taking. From the drapes of silken linen to the elaborate lights that reflected off the moon silver and deep midnight blue of her gown casting a rainbow of glows on the floor beneath her, the place was sheer perfection.

She was pleased to see that there still where inhabitants but none looked familiar, then again they wouldn't given the theme of this ball. Lin chuckled to herself making her way to the refreshment table while one of her hands absentmindedly went to a curled lock of her hair and twiddled with the spiral. For the moment she would just be an on looker till she either noticed someone she recognized or was approached.

Amaranth smiled up at Adratos, snuggling in his arms, get eyes still scanned the room. She smirked as her eyes landed on Calla, dancing with Kamoas newest warrior, Eien.

Amaranth never thought she'd see the day Calla would dance with another man other than Hermes. It came as a pleasant surprise. Amaranth looked up at Adratos, smiling she draged him out to the dancefloor as the next dance began. She placed one hand in his and the other around his waist as they stood close, she moved with him, swaying with the beat if the music.

One thing she had alawys hated was the stares she almost always recieved when she entered the room...no rephrase that, there were stares of aproval, evny, and lust. Amaranth paid no mind to the envy or the aproval, never letting th bother her, why should she care who approves of what she wears? It was the stares of lust that got to her, it sent chills up her spine. Amaranth sighed, pay no mind to them, you should be used to this by now...you ARE a siren after all, she thought.

Amaranth smiled at her ruby eyed lover, he'd hardly said a word, that being in his nature and him hating parties aside, she pouted. "Adratos, you okay you've hardly said a word. your not upset that I dragged you out for a dance are you?" she raised a delicate blue brow to him, sighing she moved closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder she closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying their closeness.

Amaranth opened her eyes and smoked at him, that was the first of four dances that he'd promised her, well then she supposed they could take a break for a bit. Amaranth looked up at Adratos and slowly leaned in kissing him, she slowly pulled away and smiled up at him as she led him off the dancefloor. "I love you" she smiled at him.

Amaranth looked over adratos's shoulder for a moment and her eyes widened...focusing on a slender female leaning afainst a pillar, she gasped...it never matters that she had been away from gee village for nearly 18 years, she knew tge girl standing yards away from her. everything about her was purely siren and purely hers. By that she ment her family.

She looked over The girl, her long blue hair pulled up and away from her face, her wings gracefully at her back. Her eyes the kind amethyst she remembered them to be. she knew.

"Lin" she mumbled under her breath. Amaranth looked up at Adratos on the verge if tears. 18 years away from her family as time too long, shed missed everything, her little sisters growing up without her, tjuse thoughts hit her gard. Amaranth wondered when Lin got to be so elegant? She smiled.

"Adratos do you see that siren over there?" her eyes drifted to her sister again, as she leaned in and whispered in his ear so only he would hear. "Thst siren is my little sister."

Amaranth smiled and took his hand walking over to her, completly unsure of what to say, what to do. Would her sister hate her?

Amaranth smiled once more. "Its been eighteen years since I last saw you before I left. You look fantastic Lin."

Amaranth said screw it to holding back, she pulled the young Siren into a warm welcoming embrace. Smiling and tearing up again, she pulled away. "you look so beautiful little sister...when did you come to the athenaeum? Who is your sponser??" she had to know, she needed to keep an eye on Lin, look out and make sure she would be okay.

Amaranth smiled and turned to Adratos taking his hand and squeezing it gently. "Lin this us Adratos, he's my lover. Adratos thin is my sister Caoiliann." she giggled as she introduced them. she hoped Lin wouldn't be cruel and Adeatos unafraid.

Cedric smiled the more as he kept dancing "So, tell me, are you enjoying the party, Sylphie?" he asked as he danced.

As Adratos danced (although clumsy) with Amaranth, he though how long it woud take to finish this party. He felt ridiculious but Amaranth was so pretty that he had to smile. As she kissed him and said those words, he had to reply "I love you too." and kept dancing with her until the very end when she spotted somebody.

As she asked him, he turned himself around gently seeing a blue haired girl, a copy of Amaranth indeed. He opened his eyes wide and almost refuse to go there and meet her, especially after knowing how Ama's sisters were... But there was no way, because Amaranth dragged him to her and introduced him.

"Hello, Ca- Ca..." he was having troubles saying her name and ended up saying something like Caolina.

Eien grinned happily when his Mentor accepted. If this wasn't a formal party, he'd probably jump.

"This way, then," he said cheerfully, leading her to the dance area.

"Haha, I'm actually a beginner at this myself. But I've learnt a few steps and I'll try my best to teach you," he smiled, trying not to show his nervousness. He took a deep breath and calmed down.

"Alright," Eien said as he held Kamoa's hand and placed the other on her back, "Place your left hand on my shoulder. Then try to follow my steps."

The Lampad explained the remaining instructions, slowing down when necessary.

"Just let your body follow the music... Feel the freedom."

"I'd say I quite enjoyed the party," she paused for a moment, "But hearing all the compliments about the grandeur of the ball and everyone's dresses makes me wish I could see them..."

"Nevertheless, I feel so much happiness in the air. So I'm happy, too," she smiled.

"What about you, Cedric?"

Cedric felt a little sad for Sylphaea not being able to see how glamourous everybody was, including herself but smiled anyways at her question.

"Well, I feel just like home... All these dresses, the environment, the music! I've been dying for this day since I've heard about it... It's just like the England in my heart." he replied, twirling Sylphie gently.

"Then England must be a really nice place," she chuckled quietly, following his footsteps and the tune of the music. She had never heard about the place, though. "I'm sure it's interesting. Tell me a little about it."

Amaranth smiled as Adratos said I love you too, she heldhis hand and smiled up at him. Amaranth look at Caoiliann, mist people have trouble saying her name. "Adratos just call her Caolin." Amaranth smiled at her little sister, although her attending the athenaeum completly shocked her l, Amaranth was happy her sister was with her.

Amaranth could sense that Adratos was apprehensive about being near Lin, who wouldn't be? They are sirens, and they are known to kill men. But, Lin was very similar to herself, even if she didn't understand a man, she would not be cruel or try to kill him.

Amaranth looked at Adratos, this night was supposed to be theirs, she hoped he wouldn't get jealous of Lin, after all she hasn't seen her sister in many years. Amaranth sighed. "Lin, after the ball we must spend time together, we've missed so much of eachothers lifes that we have alot of things to talk about." Amaranth smiled, a sleepover seemed appropriate, Mnem would understand, the girl is her sister after all. amaranth wondered if gianira knew Lin is here. It would be nice if the three of them could catch up. Amaranth would have alot of introducing to do, shed have to introduce Lin to Calla, and Rai, and Zeph, and Calix. She hoped Gia would come to the ball, perhaps she would help her show Lin around, no doubt Gia would drag her poor sister around everywhere.

Gianira smiled as she smoothed put the skirt of her dress, it would be interesting, this ball. The last time there was any form of party was Eisidos, it was a good turn out until that stupid Centaur hurt Amaranth's feelings. Gia sighed, Athena grant me wisdom to help me convince Amaranth to stop loving Adratos, all he would do would hurt her, also he wouldn't be able to please her like a normal man with human legs would...how on earth would that work out?

Gia sighed and pushed the thoughts from her mind, she was going to have a good time one way or another. She fixed her mask and looked at the mirror, perfect.

Gia smiled and made her way into the ballroom her eyes wandering for some one, any of her friends. She giggled as she spotted Amaranth, as she made her way over to her sister age blinked as she hear ld the words exchanged, the looks in their eyes...it's love. Gia smiled happy for amaranth, this is good, Now she wouldn't have to kick his ass.

Gia froze completly as she saw the scock on amaranths face her eyes moved up and she gasped...Caoiliann. Oh...my...gods. gianira grinned as she came up behind Ama and Lin, she grinned and hugged Amaranth first. "hello bug sister I hope you enjoying the festivities." She then looked at Adratos, she smiled at him, a true non threatening smile "Hello Adratos, I hope you enjoying the party." and my sister, she wanted to add in.

Then her gaze fell on Lin, she smiled a shaky smile, Lin is her best friendm, I killed her to leave her behind, but she's here now, clearly since she's at the party shed be attending classes here.

Gia pulled Lin into a hug. "welcome to the Athenaem sister!" she grinned and let go of her rambeling on about how are gas a ton of things to show her, she herself had to find Mnem after this and request Lin as her roommate.

Gia turned to Amaranth and Adratos and wink at Ama, shed show Lin around xk the love doves could spend time together.

"Come on Lin I have a ton of people to introduce you to." She giggled and took her sisters hand, leading her away. On there turn about the room Gia had pointed out almost every warrior who was at the ball. She turned and looked at Lin. "So, who's your sponsor?? What classes are you taking? Did Mnem adign you a roomie?"

"Freedom." Kamoa smiled trying to hide the sadness that word brought to her.

"This...is really quite fun, I wasn't planning to dance when I came." She said smiling.

She followed Eien's instructions, at first she made a few mistakes but got the hang of it quickly. Once is a while she would look down to her feet making sure her feet weren't being relieved.

"Are you enjoying the party Eien?"

Amaranth smiled at Gianira as she came over, goodness she wasnt glaring at Adratos, that was a lovely surprise. Amaranth smiled and hugged Gia. "Hello Gia are you enjoying yourself?"

Amaranth giggled at Gia dragged poor Lin away, she hoped Gia wouldn't talk poor Lin to death. Amaranth smiled and turned to Adratos. "Both my sisters are sweet, so please don't be fearful."

Amaranth sighed and flicked her wrist, opening her fan and fanning herself it was very hot in the ballroom, all the excitement raised her temperature. Amaranth smiled and snuggled close to Adratos, resting her head on his chest she smiled and looked up at him, gently kissing his collarbone before moving to kiss his lips. She pulled back and held his hand.

"Its hot in here, would you take a walk with me?"
In most cases they'd walk around the lake or fields, but it didn't mater to her as long as they are together.

Amaranth smiled and looked over at the door, waiting for Adratos to lead the way.

Watching those that where dancing she thought of them as perfect little dolls going to the music like one would a music box. The mystery and elegance of it all made her smile. She loved little events like this, well this wasn't exactly little but it was extravagant and played fancy to her courtly mannerisms. As she stood there sipping from a glass she had poured herself a glitter of blue had caught her eye.

Funny how the events started to play out and Lin knew her sister well enough to put the drink in her hands down before she arrived at her side. With a deep curtsy she bowed to both her sister and the male with her, "Sister mine its a pleasure to see you again." She then turned her attention to the male still in a bow, "And Sir Adratos the pleasure is all mine." As she straightened there was a genuine smile of peace on her lips seeing her sister after so long was the main reason she had trained so hard, and fate and the gods where blessing her now. "I have missed you terribly sister of mine, my heart is filled to the brim to know that you are safe and," those amethyst eyes of her's glanced to Adratos after Amaranth said he was her lover, "well cared for."

At the embrace Caoilainn was more than happy to huge her sister back, having the feeling of family in her arms was truly amazing. Of course the twenty question game began and she could only chuckle, "Now sister of mine, there is plenty of time for all of this questioning later. This is a party no? You should be enjoying yourself with your mate." Though she would grant her sister the grace of knowing her sponsor at least, "I am sponsored by the mighty god Ares, dear sister you have nothing to worry about. Please enjoy yourself with your mate."

When another had come to join the little group it was Caoilainn's turn to be in shock. Another of her sister's here at the Athenaeum as well, god's she must be dreaming. "Sister Gianira...." the other had been and still was her best friend and most adored sister. It killed her more to watch her leave then Amaranth but the pain she bore for both was immense enough. Another loving embrace was done between family, "Thank you sister mine. I'm so pleased to be here."

Lin found herself led away from her eldest sister and did a curtsy bow to her and Adratos as Gianira led her away in haste. Smiling was all she could do her heart filled to the brim with joy as she listened to her sister point others out to her. It would be slightly difficult at the moment to put names to faces but she would do her best. "You sister Gianira are much like sister Amaranth in your questions." It was funny to think the two shared a common trait of personality quirks, "I am sponsored by the mighty Ares, and my classes we can go over at another time." A slender blue brow was quirked in the others direction but it was impossible to see given the mask, "Neigh I do not believe Mnem has assigned me a living quarters person."

Gianira giggled, god how she had missed Lins oddly formal way of speaking. Gia pouted, Ares is her sponser! Damn, that made them rivals, everyone knows Athena is a goddess of war, the rivalry between the gods set in their warriors, but not Lin. Never, they could never be rivals. "Well the unwritten rule book states that were supposed to be rivals Lin, I an a warrior for the Wise Godess Athena, you a warrior for the God of war, Ares." Gia smirked and laughed. "Its a good thing Im not fond of reading, and that I can't stand rules."

Gia giggled, could a girl not ask her little sister questions? they had been apart for months now, she had more than alot of questions for Lin. "What I missed you." she smiled."we have so much to talk about. But that aside, I'm happy you don't have a roomate, I will ask Mnem if we can share a room." Right after the ball she was planning on making a B-line for the high preistess.

Cedric smiled the more at Sylphie's questions. "Well, most of people wear the victorian clothing. I know you can't see them but I will try to describe to you. Lots of ruffles for ladies and layers and gentleman suits, like jackets, vests and others. For example, your dress could be wore there without a problem, by only taking off the mask." he explained while dancing. "But it's a country of contrasts too... there are very rich people and very poor..." he said in a tone of sadness.

[Septima Severa]

Severa stared at Taro in horror for a moment. He was from Tartarus? That was bad news, bad, bad news. "I'm sorry, but I'll have to excuse myself. It was a pleasure dancing with you," she said in a tone that betrayed her distracted feel.

She moved through the crowd, a thing made rather difficult with her unyielding dress, and moved to the balcony to grab some fresh air. A thousand questions about the masked man from Tartarus going through her head.

The night air was very welcome to clear her mind, and she had gotten quite warm in the many layers of fabric, and not to mention the corset. Oh how she wishes she could take it off. How she longed for her simple chiton...

[Eli-May]

Elijah, or Eli-May as most people called her, walked slowly toward the building. All the while staring up at it in awe. The place looked stunning, the architecture was flawlessly amazing down to the last detail. It had taken her hours to find the place, not bothering to catch a ride with someone, it wasn't that she didn't have friends who would be willing to take her, it was just that she enjoyed walking by herself in the evening.

Eli-May stared up once more at the building. A gloomy thought entered her head. What if nobody likes me?! Maybe they'll think I'm too childish or something like that!!

Eli-May took a deep breath and reached for the door...

Once inside the ballroom Elijah looked around at the dancing figures, each one of them wearing something extraordinary, and everyone for the most part was wearing a mask. Quickly Elijah slipped on her mask and began looking around.

Tarô watched Severa disappear into the crowd. "Oh well at least I got to dance with a beautiful human tonight, her frightened expression was so much fun", he thought.

Suddenly Tarô noticed Eli-May's presence. It didn't even took him a minute to start walking towards her. The night was young after all.

Tarô approached Eli-May and bowed to her politely. Then he indicated the dancing figures with a hand and pointed to them shaking his head in a funny movement producing a metallic sound from his hat and clothes. He offered the other hand to Eli-May, it looked like he was asking her to dance with him.

Eli-May blinked in surprise at the masked figure. Was he asking her to dance? She watched as he gestured with his hands toward the dancing figures. She blushed a bright red. Luckily no one could see her blushing. "I...I would love to." she finally managed blushing even harder.
She had only danced with one other person before, but that had been Corona, a girl at her school and Eli-May wasn't into girls, so this felt different. The young angel stared up at her new found dance partner wondering who he was. She was no longer worked about makng friends that was for sure!

[Achlys Adonia Argyris]

Adonia turned to see Severa.... in a white corseted dress!! Once she got over the young woman's new choice in attire, she noticed that she seemed distressed and seemed to be heading for the balcony. "Augustin.... would you excuse me for a moment?" she said distractedly following Severa's fleeing form.
Seeing her finally stop on the balcony, Adonia hesitated a moment, wondering if she should be sticking her nose into the human's business. Finally she stepped forward saying "Miss Severa?... A-are you alright?"
