Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Calla was still standing by herself, fiddling with her dress. She sighed and wished that there was water here. She wandered over to the refreshments table, her gaze glancing over the refreshment selections. Unfortunately, it was all alcoholic. Really? Nothing but alcohol at a Mentor's birthday party? She figured Morph would at least have tea here or something...
She then noticed that someone was watching her. She glanced to her left, noticing a man staring at her with a slight smirk on his face. She flushed and averted her gaze, turning her back to him as she watched everyone dance, so carefree about the battles and training, even if this frivilous freedom was just for one night.

Hermes sipped his wine, eyes ever roaming the room, he blinked as his eyes caught the little charis watching him. She looked uncomfortable. He smirked and walked over to her. "May I have this dance my lady?"

Calla blushed and slowly nodded. There was something about him that was familiar, she could almost put her finger on it. She took his hand that he had extended to her.
"I-I would love to," she answered, a small smile on her face.

Hermes smiled as she took his hand, he led her out to the dancefloor, hand in hand he pulled her too him and placed his arm around her waist, he began to sway with the music stopping to twirl her around every so often.
"So lovely Charis do you have a name?" She looked familir...acted so to...almost like Calla.

Eien smiled and sat down next to her.
"Haha, Miss Kamoa, us meeting like this could've been...impossible. Hades doesn't usually sponsor a Nephalae does he...? Why...," Eien's expression saddened a little, "Why would a Nephelae even be in the Underworld...?"
The moon was beautiful, but it casts a cold light.

Calla smiled and enjoyed dancing with him. For some reason, it almost felt like she was dancing with Hermes like she had at the Ceremony of Eisodos. She paused momentarily after he asked who she was. She then continued and smiled slightly, tilting her head the way she normally would.
"Isn't the point of masking your identity the whole point of a masquerade, dear sir?" she asked teasingly.

Hermes laughed, the tilt of her head gave her away. "You look beautiful tonight Calla." He smirked, wondering if she'd reconize him, he spun her around and diped her low before pulling her back up and into a warm embrace. "I've missed you little Charis it's been such a long time since we last danced."

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Calla gasped, her visible green eye widening slightly.
"L-Lord Hermes!" she said happily, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him close. "I've missed you so much...I didn't know if you were coming or not..."
She looked up at him, a shy expression on her face. "C-can we go for a walk outside...?"

Hermes smiled as she hugged him. "I missed you too Calla." He smirked taking her hand, yes a walk outside would be lovely.
He held her hand and led her outside. "How have you been? Im shocked you came to the masquerade."

"Eien..." Kamoa places her finger upon his lips ,sadly smiled to him. The Lampad did not need to know and if he did it was not the appropriate time to talk about this.
"All I can is.....bets to change ones life..."
She faced towards the moon, her eyes were watery but the tears didn't come down.
"Perhaps an other time I shall tell you....but not now my dear,Lampad."

Eien noticed the sad smile. 'Damn, I've done it again!'
"...I understand," he said, looking up at the moon, too.
"Tell me, Miss. The Athenaeum is a really big area. Which place do you like most?" he smiled.
"We can walk there a bit--it'll make you feel a lot better."

"The...the garden I suppose, its nearby." Kamoa didn't want to walk too much with her dress.
"I haven't been there in while." She smiled but its wasn't her real smile.

Ah, the Gardens. He had been there only once. It's stuffed full of flowers to the rim. A really beautiful place.
"Then by all means, let's go!"
Eien stood up and offered a hand to her.

(( click me now or I cut you ))
Kamoa nodded and took his hand.
Their walk over there seemed to have relaxed her a bit.
"How have you're classes been Eien? Any trouble with mine?"

Once they were outside and away from everyone, she reached up and removed her mask, sighing happily to be able to remove it. She looked up at Hermes and smiled.
"Do you honestly think Lady Amaranth or Lady Aphrodite would let me skip an event?" she questioned, lacing her fingers with his.
They passed Eien and Kamoa as they walked and Calla gave them a slight wave before hugging the god's arm lightly.
"I'm actually surprised that you came, Lord Hermes," she told him. "I mean...I know you told me you would, but I wasn't sure if you would be too caught up in your duties to bother with a dance such as this."

Hermes smiled as she took off her mask. Much better, he could see those beautiful eyes of hers now. He smirked and reached up removing his own mask, he had to laugh at her Amaranth and Aphordite comment. "You mean the annoying blue haired woman right?"
He smiled, yess it had been one hell of a tough month getting all his wokr done just so he could come and see HER. "Yes well, i got a break."

She sighed happily as she leaned against his arm. She looked up at him and smiled before removing his mask.
"That's better...," she said quietly, leaning up and kissing him softly. "I really am happy that you came. I haven't seen you for a few weeks."

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Adonia couldn't help but giggle at the thought of what Miss Tahirah could possibly have done to her brother. Judging by the way her eyes danced as she hinted at it though, she could tell it must have been quite the prank.
She cocked her head at the Nephelae's talk of past haunts of the human realm and the escape to haven, seeing her expression change and hearing the drop in her voice.
She could definitely relate to the wish to escape the mortal realm. The power that she feared had not been taken from her as she had wished, but lingered on-- tormenting her with the fear that history would repeat itself...
At Tahirah's happy outburst, she allowed her placid face to break into a sheepish grin. "I would love to join in the fun.... Its just... well..." She fidgeted for a moment, looking rather awkward. "I've never been to a ball or any kind of party before... What does one do at such events?" She finally said, happy that her mask concealed her face, flushed with embarrassment.

((>.<,, <3))
Eien waved back at Calla when they passed her. He smiled contently when he saw the other man. At least the sweet Charis doesn't have to spend the night alone.
Eien jumped a little when his Mentor asked him about the Wind Magic Class.
"I--uhh...," Eien scratched his head nervously, avoiding her eyes. Yes, even after four years, he can't make anything more than a tiny, harmless breeze...

"Eien dear..." Kamoa placed her hand on his chin turning his head slowly to look at her.
"There is nothing to be embarrassed about...about...are you having trouble?"
She was worried because her lesson was going to be a week after the ball, and she didn't want him to fail her class.

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Tahi stopped twirling, and fixed Adonia with her most playful look. "There is no SUPPOSED to at a party. You just do whatever seems fun - talk, gossip, dance, drink, annoy Severa. Take your pick!" She looked back into the ballroom, noticing her dear roommate talking with a group of warriors. "I for one don't dance very much because all the boys are scared of what my brother will do to them... So the latter seems very appealing." She paused, considering her options. And then it hit her. "You know Adonia, we are supposed to be celebrating Auntie Mnem - I mean Lady Mnemosyne's birthday... But nobody's sung to her yet - and that's a tradition that's pretty common in the mortal world. I think we should fix that. And I think it would be funny if I tried to drag Sev up on stage to help me - you know, have the Satyrs announce both of us - so she HAS to go up, or else look foolish in front of everyone." Tahi's eyes gleamed as she imagined her roommate's discomfort. "What do you think?"

"I don't know why I'm even here...I don't know anyone of these people" Jack muttered as he sat looking out onto the dancers and other warriors chatting and enjoying themselves. "Maybe I should just go out and take some of this with me" Contemplating the idea of leaving he changed his mind and put the glass down on the counter lightly before standing and brushing himself down. "What am I saying...I'v never said no to a party before" Adjusting his mask so that all you could see was the hint of a smirk he scanned the crowd, looking for any chance to talk to someone.

Galene decided to approach the man sat near the counter. She was pretty sure it was jack, that voice was familiar. She walked slowly through the crowds, holding her dress carefully so the people wouldn't step on her red rubies. As she was near him, she smirked "So, not enjoying the party?" she asked ironically, remembering his scene at the balcony.
