"Haha, I dunno we can do that. It really made sense!" Eien said, looking back at the fluttering lights.
"...I know--I'll catch one for you," the Lampad grinned running towards the fireflies.
"With the wind!"

"Sure, please do. Enjoy the dance," she said smilingly, "I'll wait for you here, alright?"
The Charis walked towards the side and leaned on a pillar, so that she doesn't bump into anyone.

"Oh thank goodness" the siren sighed with relief. "I was beginning to worry" she said cheekily. At Tahirah's invitation to sing however, the siren turned even more pale than normal, her body suddenly tense in fear. A moment later, the stiffness had vanished, and she had rearranged her features into a smile, though her paleness lingered, as she turned to greet the fifth year Amazon. "Good evening miss, I don't believe we have met. I'm Adonia-- third year siren of Hera. Its a pleasure to meet you" she said with a curtsy.

"Good evening to you, too, Tahirah, Adonia," she greeted, "Well, though these dresses are not really my taste, I should say that they look beautiful on the both of you."
"Hmm... I'd like to ask you something," she held out the bouquet, the bright flowers still fresh with a wonderful scent, "It's Lady Mnemosyne's birthday. I mean to give these to her. But I don't think I know a proper timing, so I'd like your opinions."
Ainia paused and looked the girls over, her sharp eyes scrutinizing.
"You both seemed a little distraught. Is something the matter?"

As Sylphaea approved and walked to lean on the pillar, Cedric took Septima's hand gently and guided her to the dancefloor. He placed a hand on her waist and started dancing to the beat.
"So Miss Septima, tell me more about yourself." he said with a smile and a polite tone.

She let herself be lead to the dancefloor and placed one hand on his shoulder, awkwardly following his movement. She was alright as long as it stayed simple.
"About myself?! Well, ehm, what do you want to know? I'll promise to answer as truthfully as I dare," she responded in all earnest.

"Well, who's your sponsor? And where do you come from?" he said, after thinking for a while on his questions. He didn't want to sound nosy of anything.

"I'm sponsored by Mars, wonderful God he is," Severa said with a healthy dose of sarcasm and a roll of her eyes. "As for where I'm from, that is Rome, during the rule of Emperor Trajan."

Cedric still was confused about the time and eras. She was from his past then? How confusing! "Emperor Trajan! I admire the column that he sent to be made. And monsier Eugéne Delacroix painted him too. I believe the painting was called "The Justice of Trajan". Remarkable piece." he said as he kept dancing, noticing that Septima didn't like her sponsor.

Severa's eyes widened. "They finished it then?! It always seemed so impossible for me, a column that large to even be finished! I remember well the wooden tower that was supposed to build the fiend, but it was far from completion when I... left..."
She smiled at the thought that even in Cedric' future the Emperor would be remembered. "He has much promise, the Emperor, chosen by the Gods to rule. I only hope that he remains as pure as he is now, as good. Many emperors before him have gone corrupt, or so I've been told."

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
"Oh, so you never seen it finished? Such a shame, indeed. It's an incredible piece of sculpture that we can see in most of history books." he explained as he kept dancing "Yes, that's quite true but I must asure you that, from what I've read, he will be a great emperor until the very end." Cedric said with a nod of his head, thinking of the unfortunate dead, by an edema, of Trajan.

"Alright, but don't tell me more! It would be like spoilers!" Severa said with a smile. "But what about you," she was all too eager to turn the subject around. "Where are you from?"

((LOL, noooo spoilers XD))
"I won't, telling the future is no fun at all." he calmed Septima down with a chuckle. Seeing that the attention was now on him, he shrugged his shoulders. "I come from England, London to be exact. While Queen Victoria rules."

((I had River in my head when I wrote that xD))
"England? London? Victoria?" Severa asked, confused look on her face. "You don't mean Londinium do you? But Londinium is in Brittania, inhabited by the savage Celts!"
She sighed, annoyed by her own ignorance. "It must be so much easier to connect with the past, I have no clue what you are talking about!"

"I know it must be quite hard for you to understand..." Cedric said with a smile. With Sylphie it had been the same but he knew that Septima got mad by her own ignorance. He had seen that in the library the day they met. "But the savages that you talk about met a Germanic tribe that settle there in the 6th century. After Christ, this is. And now we grew to be one of the most important countries in terms of politics and culture." he explained with the most polite tone he had, hoping that she wouldn't get confused this time.

"Thank you m'lady" Adonia said with another little bow.
"Your guess would be as good as mine" she said looking at the lovely blooms. "I have very little knowledge of social graces." She lowered her gaze a moment, mildly embarrassed by her lack of knowledge.
Distraught... now that was a good word for it, she thought as her smile faltered once more for a moment. "Oh, I-its nothing" she replied hastily, so pale she now resembled a be-gowned spirit escaped from the underworld.

"Christ? When is Christ then? I just can't understand how blue-painted savages could form a cultural society!" She grunted, this was just not working. "I hate this, I hate not knowing things. I've spent so long ignorant!"
"I just wish I could see it, the future, what it's like. How things come to be. Rome, Rome would surely still be at the center of things, it's always been. All the roads lead to Rome."

"When our Lord was born. I don't want to go much further though. And the blue-painted savages were tamed by the Germans, a little like what Romans did with other civilizations." he tried to explain, not losing his patience once.
"Miss Septima, I know it can be frustrating but calm down... it's nothing to be stressed about!" he said with a small chuckle. "Rome is still a place of great culture! I've never got the chance to visit it but the ruins are fantastic!"

"Oh I'm fine," She said, before stopping short. "Ruins? You don't mean-Wait, I don't want to know!" Severa said quickly. "Tell me about something else, what did you do? What was your occupation? You don't look like slave, were you perhaps a patrician? You're too young for the senate, yet you dress richly, or what I must assume to be richly."

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Septima's questions stroke him in a way that made in burst into a small laughter. Not to loud though, he knew how to keep his manners. "First of all, your society is different then mine. I'm no patrician nor go to the senate. Instead, I belong to the middle-class. My father owns a carriage business, which I worked as a carriage boy or even the one that rides the horses." he said, smiling sadly. He quite missed his job.

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Severa smiled at his laugh, for once not bothered to be laughed at. "I've heard of carriages, like a litter, but drawn by horses instead of carried by slaves. Or like a chariot, but not used for war-purposes. Or so it's been explained to me."
"Perhaps you should try chariot races then, you'd be quite good at them!"

"Yes, you are quite right. That's a carriage for transporting people to several places." he nodded, happy that Severa had understood his job.
"Chariot races?" he remember the books that he has read and the images he had seen "They seem to be quite.. violent to me. Exciting but dangerous." he said, blinking his eyes.

"Oh they are, but they're amazing to watch. I don't know what they're like to play, but I'd imagine that you'd like them, being a chariot. I like them much better than gladiator fights," she explained.
"That does make it quite ironic that I've been placed in one large gladiator fight. Have you heard of the Gladiators Cedric?"

"Yes, gladiator fights are a show I don't want to see. The books that I've read told me quite a lot." he said with a face of disapproval. It was a bloody show that only sadistic people like.
"And yes, of course. They are very famous- even though for all the wrong reasons."

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Severa looked at him quizzically. "Why? It is nothing more than entertainment. I agree that the executions were terrible, but no one but the peasants would stay to watch them, and only because they did not want to lose their spots! Really, the Gladiators were volunteers, they choose for what they did, and many of them grew rich from it to," she explained.
"I was never quite such a fan of them, but they weren't all that bad. Besides the executions, there were more deaths in a chariot races. I only ever pity the majestic animals that came to an end on the sand," she wasn't a great fan of animals, but really, they did not always deserve what they got.
