"Huh....not as much as I'd like to miss" Jack replied but his mood had perked a bit since someone had started talking to him. "I'm kinda out of my depth with parties like these, never being to a ball before y'see" He was sure it was Galene but he didn't know how many gorgons were actually here. Jack recognized the voice but he would procede with caution. "Are you enjoying the fine, grecian evening though miss?"

Hearing the politeness of Jack's voice made her doubt it was him. But his accent was quite unforgetable and she bet there weren't many irish people around. Whatever that was.
"So, never been to a ball... you don't miss much." she sighed and sat next to him. "I would have enjoyed much more if I wasn't a gorgon. But finding another fellow gorgon made the night worth." she replied as she took a goblet of wine a took a sip.

"I'm glad you found the night worth it after all miss, but I must ask, what does one exactly do at events such as these...I doubt I could get away with my usual acts at a civilised place like this" he laughed softly and continued looking at some of the dancers, even though he attention was caught by the lady opposite him. "Hmm these people have no idea how to dance properly..." he muttered under his breath watching the strange ballroom steps that were well too unfamliar to him.

As Jack started to talk about the dancers, she tilted her head slightly to the side. "You never danced like this?" she was curious about his world. First Irish or something, now people didn't danced like that? What kind of world was his, with beasts and demons?
"For you they may not be dancing propely but this is the way we dance." she said.

((DDDDD:>
I feel SO misunderstood... OTL
*goes to cry in the corner*
...Hmm, maybe it's something to do with my mind... :/))
Eien couldn't help leaning in to the soft touch, "Well... I think you've already known from my usual performance in class... Like..."
He paused, waving his hand a little to control the wind.
"Like this."
Kamoa's ponytail swung a little as a soft breeze blew by.
"That's the strongest one I can make. And it's even off the target," Eien folded his arms and sighed, "I just can't control the winds--they're just so..."

"Oh Eien..." The Nephelae placed her hand over the Lampad's shoulder gently.
"They are so what? Please tell me, I want to help you."
Kamoa was worried, she didn't want to see one of her favorite students failing her class.

'...Free.'
It's the word that he wanted to tell. But every time it came up, things go downhill. So he refrained.
"...I dunno. They won't listen. I think I need the basics again..."

Adonia simply gaped at Tahirah for a moment, lost in the mental image of the insanity and mayhem that would commence from forcing Severa into such a position. After a moment she realized she was gaping and gave herself a shake saying "I-I don't know about that... Wouldn't that cause quite a disturbance? I wouldn't want her trying to get back at you." She paused looking over at the human girl nervously. "She seems as if she'd go pretty far to get revenge."

Amaranth blushed and smiled. "Indeed this is the most wonderful night of my life." she leaned in and gently kissed him, breaking away after a few moment, she rested her head on Adratos's shoulder.

((I love how that, when I'm gone for a long time, I miss out on these epic events. D:))
Walking into the ballroom, Azurith moaned, "Why is it that I'm always late to these things?" She walked straight through the dancefloor and quietly stood by the punchbowl.

((Me and Mnem are NOT mind-readers. How were we supposed to know you would be gone? Next time you're gone for that long, drop the group a note first.
I'm sure no one will cry if we extend the event a little longer, so don't worry.))

((Ehm, Azurith, you dropped out a while ago, your character's deleted from the list and all that fancy stuff, so I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't bounce back in, since, you know, you decided to quit))
Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Once the song ended, Elijah, using as much courage as she could, seized the chance to actually talk to her partner.
"Wonderful night isn't it?" she began, keeping her cool. "Y...you're quite the dancer." she added shyly. She couldn't understand as to why she was so nervous talking to him. He obviously meant her no harm...right?
Finally she used all of her courage to open her mouth again to speak.
"Why did you choose me to dance with?" she blushed a deep shade of red.

"You could have told me this sooner Eien." Kamoa sighed disappointed how her teachings haven't help him.
"From now on you will meet with me twice a week before you go to ved and I shall teach you the basics again..."
She patted the his back gently trying to cheer him up. "Don't listen? Eien wind is not like an animal that you can tame...wind is more...."
She waved her hand and twirled it shaping a small whirlwind."More like a part of your body."

"R-really?! Thanks a lot, Miss Kamoa!" Eien bowed gratefully.
'A part of me, huh...?'
"...Hmm? In the classroom, right?"
They had wandered a little to the edge of the Garden, where it's starting to blend into the Athenaeum Lake. The rather tall grasses were littered with various wild flowers, their pale petals seemingly glowing in the moonlight. Something caught the Lampad's attention.
"Hey, look! Fireflies."

"Oh, Cedric, Severa. I wonder if there's really no plain water here. I heard some people complaining," Sylphie said curiously. She doesn't really mind the wine, though. It's quite familiar amongst the inhabitants of the woods.
"What do you think?"

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Ainia was standing at the end of the refreshment table, putting down her empty glass. Alright, enough with the refreshments! She thought about going and looking around a bit.
Scanning the room, she can see Saturnina having a conversation with Sylphaea and Cedric. Augustin was talking, too. Adel was still nowhere to be found.
The Ballroom was really crowded, indeed, filled more with people she didn't know. The Amazon can't believe that there were ever this many people in the Athenaeum, even if some of them might be guests.
Lady Mnemosyne and Morpheus were still there, too. Ainia wondered why they're staying at the sides, instead of dancing and enjoying like everyone else. She looked down again at the bouquet she's holding. It's getting late--should she just give it to the High Priestess, now...?
No, maybe later. But how will she give it? She doesn't want to just give it, wish her, and walk away again.
Then she spotted Adonia and Daria having a conversation near the balcony.
'...Ah, Daria,' she thought, 'She will know what to do!'
Hoping that the Nephelae does, Ainia held onto her bouquet of flowers and approached them.

"Yes, indeed... I'm quite used to wine due to where I come from but I would rather some tea, actually." he said with a small chuckle. "And, miss Severa owns me a dance I suppose." he said, turning his head to the girl in white.

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
(Sorry for the late reply I've been dead busy with tests. I'd cry if the event is extended...out of joy.)
Tarô stopped dancing since the song had finished. Then he pointed to the stitches in his mask and put a finger in front of the mask's lips. He meant silence. Somehow those stitches were sealing his mouth and so he was completely unable to talk. Tarô had managed to escape the dreadful question until then, but the lady had asked for the second time and it would have been extremely rude not to answer her.
Tarô made a funny turn and held her in his arms...then he let her go. He put something in Eli-May's hand and closed it delicately. After that the spooky dancer guided Eli-May towards the table and he offered her a drink.
Tarô saw Jack and Galene talking, as soon as he heard Jack complaining about the drinks he approached them. Tarô bowed to Galene gently. The drinks were endangered from the first moment he laid his eyes on them. Tarô took two cups and started mixing different drinks inside of them, if an experienced and discrete viewer looked closely enough they could notice he had more than just cards on his sleeve while mixing them. There was a strange dark liquid that Tarô pretended to be hiding.
Tarô had decided he would show that newcomer how to get into the dancing mood. The jolly joker offered one of the cups to Jack.

"Wine flows more than it should where I come from, so it's no different than the parties back home," Severa smiled sadly, she did miss home sometimes. Old home, not new home. Or to-be home, or whatever she was supposed to call it.
She smiled at Cedric. "I thought you'd never ask," she said lightly. "I do hope you won't mind Sylphaea, we'll be back in a flash."

Re: A Night of Masks and Mystere.
Unknown to her dance partner, Elijah saw him put something in the drinks. Quickly came between the two. She pretended to drink what he had given her, but really made it disappear using what little magic she had learned.
"Umm may I speak with you?" she said rather nervously, pulling her partner off to the side. Looking up at him innocently (she was really trying to stall him) as she used a little bit of light energy to knock over the other guys cup before he could drink any of it.
Continuing to distract the odd yet creepy stranger she asked him;
"What are the stitches on your mouth for?" she grabbed a napkin from the buffet table.
"Do you have a pen?" she asked handing him the napkin to write on.
((That's okay ))

Tahi frowned - realizing that Adonia had a point. She tried not to stir up Severa's temper more than three times per fortnight and... well... this would be going over her limit. But it was just sooo tempting. Reason battled with Tahi's inner troublemaker for a second, and finally reason won out. Besides, she'd use the hair ornaments as the prank for this week, and she'd be good. With a heavy, and exaggerated sigh, Tahi rolled her eyes, and gave in.
"I guess you're right. But we should still try and do something nice for Auntie Mnem. It IS her birthday we're celebrating. Want to sing with me?" She asked Adonia. "I'm not really that good, but it's the thought that count's right?"
While they were talking Tahi noticed a tall girl, wearing a beautiful red gown and holding a bouquet of flowers approaching them. Ainia. She was a fifth year, like Tahi - though Tahi didn't know her very well. Tahi was wary when it came to Amazons as a rule. They were very much like her brother in regards to boys being around her, and tended to look down on her excessive girlyness. But Ainia was alright. And her dress. Well nobody wearing a dress that pretty could be all bad could they?
Oh. Wait. Tahi thought as she considered Severa for a moment. But that gave her a headache, so she stopped.
"Hello." Tahi said with a smile, flourishing her fan in front of her face. "Don't you just look lovely this evening?

Kamoa wanted to keep talking to him about the class, but got distracted by the fireflies. "Oh...you're right..."
She smiled, it brought her memories of her brother.
"When I was smaller I would catch them with the wind."
