Jack kept his eyes to the ground like a sulking child and rolled them before looking at Adonia properly. The word burned in his throat as if it was made of acid and it seemed to melt away his vocals, making him almost incapable of saying it. "S...sorry..." he apologised painfully...why was it so bloody difficult to be sincere and apologetic...he didn't understand. Returning his gaze to his boots, he kicked dust a little and lifted a hand to touch Adonia's, giving it a half-hearted squeeze. "S-sorry..."

Adonia smiled at him. She knew apologizing was difficult for him. "I'm sorry too.." she said, stroking his forehead with her free hand. She gently brought her hand down along his face until she could tilt his chin up so that he had to look at her.

"I would never do anything to betray you or your trust." she said looking at him, intently. "I love you too much to risk losing you for any reason..... Thank you Jack" she whispered before pulling him into a hug, burying her face in his shoulder.
